Quick Look: Borderlands

Borderlands Lilith kinda looks like Persona Lilith.

You can't upgrade your guns? I thought that was the entire point of the game? Well, fuck Borderlands then.

also jeff, ryan, somoen who has played this. Is their a limit to how much you carry or just pick everything up without a worry?

while ago i really  wanted this game, but now i can see it and is so empty and repetitive, of course whit friends is really cool but i don't know, it looks boring :S ,btw great art style

Don't understand where all the hate is coming from, this looks like incredible fun with a buddy or two (or three).

I gotta say,  I was excited about Boarderlands before... but this quick look has kinda unsold me on this game. It seems super grindy.

Of course Brad is the one who gets close to dying...lol.

i don't really like the cell-shading in this game. also i never really liked having to look at what you want to pick up. i think i have a better idea of what the game is like now, so good quick look.

I wasn't really looking forward to Borderlands before but after watching this QL I am. It looks pretty awesome.

You can't change your guy's appearance with armor? So all those soldiers will always look the same? In TF2 i can understand, but in a coop game that's a bad move...
 
Besides, every area seems to have 1 kind of enemy only, and they basically do nothing other than slowly walk towards you.  Where's the strategy other than S+M1?

This game looks great but it looks like you need to play with friends for Co-op or otherwise you will get robbed of guns by playing with random people. So better organize your running crew for this game.

whats with all the hate for borderlands? It looks like a bunch of halo and or cod fanatics are jealous. Can't wait to pick this game up next week.

This game looks pretty good. I will definitely acquire it at some point, but not on day one.

I love the way you could barely hear Brad say "OK, drop it" after beating Ryan, kind of sounded like a Combine from Half-Life 2 saying "pick up the can."  That's right, bitch - drop the f***ing gun!

there are many things about this game that doesnt look appealing to me, i like the art style but the action seems boring and the enemies are repetative

Looks boring? This looks like diablo 2 without the ability variety but much more awesome. My PEINS is pretty much rock hard after watching this video. Sure, it's probably pretty boring singleplayer but so was Diablo. The guy who says you cant upgrade your gun... Sure you can, you just have to loot a better one, and there are probably some class mod chips that improve your weapon proficiency. Can't wait to play this with my buddies.

Looks fun. Wanna play it. But I can't be the only one whose seen the correlations between this and Fallout 3? And I remember Ryan commenting bout how the weapons manufacturers was a great idea made the game more immerse. If I recall correctly, didn't Mass Effect do it already? Grant you, it wasn't an important part of the game, but Mass Effect already have the idea. Also, I noticed frame rate hiccups when the action got hot and heavy. Maybe its just my connection but hey.  
 
Anyhoo, looks fun, might pick it up during the Winter Break.

i wasn't that interested in this before the quick look.  still not totally sold, but I like some of the stuff i saw a lot.

I'm buying this.  It's $40 at launch up in Canada - the perfect price point for a game.

Looks cool. I'm always up for a good FPS game, especially one that isn't just another generic one. Looks like I'll be picking this one up.

I am very glad this QL was put up.  Now I will really buy this game day one.  Can't wait to be able to actually play it next week.

Maybe it was just the video, but I saw some massive framerate slowdowns when Jeff was zoomed in.

GOTY for me, the first game i've ever preordered, or probably will ever preorder. 
Staying in my disc tray until at least April. Not coming out. for anything.

Heard so much about this game. Finally get to see what it is all about.
