Happy i preordered..... just wish the 4 pack bundle was out when i did, got a lot of friends lined up for this :D

I was kind of interested in this game before, but the intro video and the quick look have definitely helped hype me up.

This is a must buy for me, but on PC ofc, i dont like the 360 random fps drop.

Seems like a pretty good game to play. Looks great.

Looks really easy, especially on the PC.

This looks like a ton of fun, a lot better than I thought it would be at the very least.

Still on the fence, I like the idea of it, but certain things bug me about it.  I'd like to see at least one class use melee weapons to some extent, maybe that's in there, but so far I haven't seen that.  The Diablo-esque design with loot and multiplayer is great, but it's been tried before in games like Too Human and Hellgate: London - both of which failed on an epic scale.  I don't know why that style of game only fits in a fantasy setting (like MMORPGs as well) but when it's applied to a game outside that milieu, it tends to lose something.
 
I'll check the reviews and see what players have to say about it when it's been out for a while, then I'll decide.  I want it to be good, but I've been burned before.

I think this game looks like a lot of fun.  I'll definitely give it a shot.  :)

I wasn't too interested before this QL, but now I'm thinking it could be a good time.

I love QLooks, but your footage for this game was NOT(or would not be) convincing whatsoever.  
 
You guys are wonderful, but you have managed to make this game look boring and did not show anything but skaggs. 
 
Having said that I already bought this game in the 4 pack on Steam for a cheap-o price of $33.75, luckily I was not relying on this Quick Look for inspiration. 
 
Even still, if it is as boring as this quick look was, then it won't be such a loss.  I figure half of the reason it looked so mediocre is because I have no personal investment in your character's guns or stats. 
 
Anyways I look forward to reading your review and maybe posting my own.

You certainly do talk a lot of shit. I checked out your Achievements & I see that you have played Alone in the Dark as well as Kengo: Legends of the Nine. In fact, you have played a TON of shitty games!!  Also, I see that you have played a FEW AAA games & from the look of it you BARELY played any of them. Do you rent games only?  I mean Christ, look at Fallout 3...that was GOTY and you scored a D on it?!?!  Or was it Not-Applicable? I say you need to stop whining & go play some games for a change as your claim about being "the expert of fine game playing" doesn't match the reality of your Achievement list.   Judging from your Achievement List, if Borderlands is a shitty game, then it's right up your alley!
 

Not that I feel the need to justify gaming habits to someone all disproportionately butt-hurt over someone's comments on a game, but:
 
Advocating for a game by nit-picking a gamer's habits (as tracked by 360 achievements, no less!) is pretty idiotic non-sense. However, since you asked -- no, I haven't played many of those games that you're talking about. They show up because the discs were at one time put into the console to verify that they worked after being purchased (note the lack of any points). And since that leads to your other question, no I don't rent games and never have. I only buy games. And I buy a lot of them (because though I have little time for gaming and sometimes go for months without playing -- at least on a console -- I like to collect them as well as hardware).And you're right - I haven't finished Fallout 3 yet. As my entire collection of games and consoles (and a lot of other stuff) was stolen in a home invasion awhile back and I've been slowly replacing the entire collection from scratch over the past year. While I would have liked to replace Fallout 3 right away, I decided to put it off until the GOTY edition came out so I could get all the DLC included in the price (and hurrah! it just arrived by UPS last night!).  Anyway, you clearly see by my two messages that I would love for Borderlands to be amazing, but have very deep doubts based on seeing this actual gameplay and what I have been hearing about it most recently. The fact that I have watched a number of trailers and interviews here and elsewhere over the past year and still didn't have a clear idea of what the fuck the actual gameplay or genre was speaks volumes about the game, if you ask me. People usually want their potential audience to know what their product is about and like. I'd like nothing more than to find out in another week that all the people whose opinions I put stock in were having the time of their life with this game and be motivated myself to then pick it up -- but I have high doubts about that happening. I have a very luke-warm feeling about it all and I am, as mentioned, seriously baffled how these two camps -- who have presumably consumed about the same content over time regarding this pending game -- can vary from "this looks boring and I'm confused; don't have much hope for this one" to "oh my god, I'm jizzing my pants right now and am pre-ordering a dozen copies". "

All this quick look made me is REALLY wish I was playing the game for myself on my computer.
 
As you can tell, Jeff is pretty much going to play on his second playthrough.  Tell me that it has to be a decent game for Jeff to do that.
 
Guess what I think this game did exactly what it wanted: funky art-style, addictive loot stuff, co-op craziness, and shooting A BAJILLION guns.  What more do people want?  Sometimes a game knows what it is and says "take it or leave it".  I will most definitely take when I get the chance.
 
Honestly my biggest fear was the shooting being stale because of enemies not reacting but it looks like they're getting shot up pretty good hear, plus the occasional head explosion does good too.

This is the kind of game I was looking for to play with my friends... but the loot mechanic is shitty as hell. Guess I'll just go pick up Diablo 2 again...
