Quick Look: Dead Space 2 Multiplayer Beta

Weird....I swore I accepted a NDA when I was offered this beta?  Is this a more open version?

This looks truly, truly terrible.

Yeah this looks kinda, crap.  Sure the single player will be awesome though.

Looks like Alien Vs Predator.

So, the Dead Space 2 experience: 
 
1) Fire up SP, enjoy the ride. Finish SP. 
2) After the credits, gaze at the main menu.  See "Multiplayer" as an option.
3) Eject Disc

Yay for yet another promising single player game with ham-handedly bolted-on multiplayer component that will go near dead in a month or so... IMO they should just save that money and not charge for the next few dlc or something more useful.

This seems bad. Not stoked about the singleplayer either.

This looks terrible.

I'm shocked at how terrible this is. 

This looks like the exact opposite of fast-paced and intense.

The necromorphs seem a bit weak, but other than that, it doesn't look bad. Honestly though, who plays is going to play Dead Space for it's multiplayer? I have to agree with Ken Levine's sentiment here, no point in putting in the man hours and money to make a multiplayer if it isn't going to be played.

Not like campaign co-op would beat this. Sharing the scares with a friend would be better then seeing how fast people can exploit the multiplayer.
Oh well. I'll be keeping my money then. :D

Looks awkward and clumsy.

Not feeling it, i was hoping more in the direction of L4D, but this seems closer to aliens vs. predator (the game).

The team balance seems like L4D. Strong but few humans, weak but overwhelmingly numerous zombies/ necromorphs/ bad-dudes. Makes sense because you can't make the necromorph team too strong or it makes it way too difficult for the human team. In the end a well organised and effective necromorph team should be able to, literally and figuratively, rip apart a human team without much trouble.

Looks really cool.  At first, didn't look like the necromorphs had a chance, but when the gameplay switched,  there is definite potential. 

Why is everyone being so negative? This looks like it could be a lot f fun, especially if you aren't Brad when you play.

I want to be in the beta!

It doesn't look that great to me....  they should just focus on the single player game.

I bet that people will play this for 2 months and then the MP will die..

hummm Dead Space is a really great game.  This ... looked awful within 20 seconds.

Maybe its time to stop letting brad do 3rd person shooter quick looks.

Animations looks pretty terrible. 
 
Also, this totally cheapens the game overall; the mystique and the fear is completely gone.

I really hope they are focusing on the single player game and not this.  Not interested in this MP at all.

I can bet a lot that they will add stupid achievements related to multiplayer where everyone will just boost to get.

God those controls look horrible. Like Resident Evil 5 horrible.
