Quick Look: G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

For some reason this game just kind of reminds me of space invaders. Hide behind destructible cover, shoot forwards. Yeah, it's just like space invaders, without the inventiveness or clever art direction.

Wow, that looked really bad, even for a movie video game.

So, basically it's Metal Slug in 3D?

Man that game looks like shit.  I hope nobody in their right minds would drop $50 on this piece of crap

I'll pick it up after the hype is over and it's $10, just for the mindless fun that it stole from the old arcade game.

I had to stop watching after 10 minutes because it was so boring. This looks like it would be a good XBLA game, definitely not a retail

This game is too much like Contra. Not only does it suck but the movie is going to suck as well. I hate movie licensed video games.

I'm glad I watched the quicklook, because the "only P1 gets the achievements while playing in co-op decision" completely baffles me. It's sad that the developers couldn't support P2.
 
The combat looked like what I thought it would, with infinite ammo and grenades. 
 
And I know that they need radio communication to describe the next set of objectives, but I didn't like how the action got cutoff to do it; definitely, ruined the sequence for me. Also, they shouldn't keep the timer going on the superability mode if you hit a radio-com event in the game. It should suspend because taking away that from the player doesn't make it fun to play.

It doesn't look that offensively bad. Just super simple. 
 
And having no nostalgia for G.I. Joe, I kinda want to see the movie now.

I can't believe i actually had to go and check if that was Mike Shinoda or not...thank god it wasn't
 
Also couldnt believe what i was watching was a 360 game.
 
Holy Shit, the sound effect at 16:37 is soooo common...and old! the last place i can remember that from was WCW Backstage Assualt. Well almost.

Holy crap this looks very bad. I thought this game had some potential? Or was that Jeff being the huge fan he is having false hope? Probably the latter.

This should have been a 15 dollar downloadable game.

I'm interested in the movie, if only for Christopher Eccleston.

Kinda sucks these movie games get so little dev time, most of them would actually be decent with a few extra months work.

Reminds me of the Joe arcade game from back in the day, only remade into 3D.
 
And the movie can suck as much as it wants since that Cartoon Network adult-oriented movie, GIJoe: Resolute, kicked supreme amounts of ass.
