Quick Look: Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot

I would almost get this just for the bank. I need a place to store all my stuff, this is what the game really needed.

Man, I wasn't sold on this pack, but after the QL... Eh, what's ten more dollars spent on Borderlands?

You get 45 inventory slots, btw. There's an inventory upgrade in Zombie Island in the Lumber Yard.

at first i had no interest in this at all, but this ql has gotten me interested. could be great in multiplayer. only thing is, i'd need to level up a lot to get on par with my friends who've already beaten the game, but i'm more into uncharted 2, mw2, and dragon age right now.

Mad Moxxys Underdome Riot sounds like a Chemical Brothers album or something. Maybe Prodigy?

Jeff, you mentioned they'd only need to raise the level cap by 15-20 (level 65-70) to be able to max out the skill tree.  This would be true if you only wanted to max out the three bottom skills on the skill tree.  They'd need to raise the level cap by 60 (level 110) to allow the player to max out every skill on the skill tree though.  Although with the bonus 2 skill points you earn from this expansion, they only need to raise the level cap to 108.
 
Let me know if I'm doing that math wrong.

With the Bank alone, a far better DLC pack. Makes the first one sweeter, that always happens with DLC for me, the more of it, the more i like the slightly lame ones.

For some reason all Borderlands does for me is that it makes me want to go back and play Fallout 3.

This is my GOTY.

This looks cool, but if it is like the last DLC for PC, won't even work here with Windows 7 64 bit. Which is LAME.

Jeff actually turns towards the item drop after killing Sledge at 15:50 then turns away.

That was much more of what I really want to play in my DLC.  I like the quests offered in Zombie Island, but mindless pick-up and play/test my skills arenas like these are something that excite me more.  Perhaps some sort of hybrid between the two will be offered in the next DLC pack.

Anyone else think it's kinda cheap that they make you pay for a bank which should have been there in the first place?

For some reason I STILL don't see the appeal of Borderlands, maybe the game is just not for me.

I understand Jeff prefers the Solider but  it would be nice to see some of the other classes

I expected this to be like the arenas in the normal game but this actually looks fun.

Looks like a fun add-on. I, of course, still need to buy the game but that is besides the point.

I don't get this game. Looks like a single-player deathmatch FPS where you level up. That's it? Seems like it was made for people addicted to level-grinding - which is the case with Jeff, seeing his insane quest for MS Points, playing games he would NEVER play were it not for Points.

Borderlands is all about the loot and leveling for me.  I don't want/need arenas.  I want new and improved item drops for my 50.  I want an increased level cap.  Without those things, Borderlands DLC will be a no-sale from here on out.  I was already suckered into the Zombie Island thing for $10 which added, quite literally, 3 hours of gameplay in a new environment and one humorous intro cutscene.

I can't wait to play this with my friends online, but honestly, the bank is unnecessary for me and should be added through a tittle update, not DLC. Don't go all Horse Armor on us, Gearbox. 

I love how people were criticizing Dragon Age because Warden's Keep came with a storage chest (that wasn't necessary by the way) and not saying a word about how Borderlands is selling a Bank in their DLC (which is necessary, because Borderlands is a loot centric game while Dragon Age isn't)

And for $10, 1/5th the price of the entire game, I would expect more than recycled assets personally. "

Yup, no new weapons that i saw, no new enemies, no level increase... just 3 arenas? Im with you on this brother. It would have been a welcomed add on for FREE (burnout paradise did free levels, Valve does it too... and Valve said free add-ons increase sales and make them lots of revenue so its not a money waster, plus it makes you not sell the game to gamestop!). "

Very impressive bit of DLC. So impressive in fact that they clearly had most of the work done before the game even launched.

man im really excited about this one. it looks like im going to have loads of fun playing in a death match area with all sort of things coming at me. Till then i better get some points!
