Quick Look: Punch-Out!!

Hmmm, okay, I'll likely play this but I still can't decide whether this is great because its exactly like the original or really depressing that Nintendo can get away with making something EXACTLY like a twenty year old game. Looks pretty fun though...

Damn! this looks great! I will buy it!

The art style is actually pretty charming, considering I have no attachment to the original Punch Out; but the gameplay looks so paper thin, I can't see myself ever buying it, as charming as it is. Mashing 1 & 2? Where's the fun in that? Can it even be called gameplay at all? I feel like picking dialogue options in Persona 4 is more in-depth than that. o_O

Totally punch out TOTALLY party i'm glad they stuck to punch out, what else would you want.

I am probably getting this game now. But at some point I want the original version on the Punch-Out theme to play in all of its 8 bit glory. Its all nostalgia that will sell most copies of this game so..

I love the art style and the animation, but... If I had a Wii, I would probably not purchase it. And when Carlton Banks was mentioned, I totally saw it.

The gameplay looks too simple, but I love the absolutely ridiculous art style of the game.

I know its a great game, especially for the people who played the original
but for those like me, 17 yrs old and never played punch out b4
will i enjoy it and get into punch out as you guys????
(i ask this because after beating MADWorld, i need more games to play for the Wii)

This will be my first Wii game in a while. But the versus doesn't look fun at all.

That head to head looks bizarre, but the rest of it looks like good 'ol classic Punch-Out! And that is pretty awesome.

von Kaiser is 6'0" and 144 lbs?  That's really skinny, especially for a boxer.  I think someone screwed up the conversion from kilos to pounds on that one.

I loved Mike Tyson's Punch-Out when it first came out...but that's because it was tough as fucking nails!!!  This game, on the other hand, looks like pure goddamn boredom-inducing dribble.  It makes me sad.

Two things:  
1. Von Kaiser WAS in the original Punch Out!
2. To make things fly out of people, you need to build up 3 stars
