Quick Look: Solar 2

How is this in any way different than Solar 1?

So is the end game to be a black hole and gather a galaxy of stars?

Bought it and it's actually pretty fun. Started to get a tad tiring to collect asteroids after a while, but then I discovered system-jacking and eventually got to black hole which is just awesome =D Too bad Jeff didn't show that off in the QL.

I was not expecting to be interested in this game. Just figured I'd watch the QL since I watch most of them. However I'm downloading the demo from steam right now, and I might even buy it now. GB needs a   thank you from the developers.

I just played this game for the first time. I bet it would make a great game to play while listening to podcasts.

This looks crazy. Bought.

Wait how much is Solar 2 on steam? Cause it's on XBL for 400 points under indie games.

Man, I love me some Giant Bomb, but this Quick Look didn't do the game justice at all. Solar 2 is an awesomely fun game.

Interesting little game.  I can't see myself playing it more than a half dozen times, but I appreciate its break from the norm.

This game is on xbox indie games for $5. The first was also released there and is currently among the higher rated games.

This is a great game. Played through the story and it has a great ending! Very cute would best describe it.

Okay, how do you make a multistar system or "jack" other solar system?

Every time i get close to either a lone star or a system, i just ram into them, No matter how carefully i approach the stars or star, it just rams into me.

any suggestions?

Seems cool, I'd love to have my own little solar system.

@Jethuty: You have to create stars out of planets that are already orbiting you; then they snap to the center and your stars connect.

This looks a lot more fun then I thought it would.

Started quicklook - bought game - finished game - finished quicklook. 
 
Good game! Too short though. Not sure if 1hr of gameplay is worth $10. 

Very dope. Don't think I'll pick it up, small games are not my wheelhouse, but I can respect it and dig it's tunes.

Terrible quicklook, Jeff doesn't seem to realize the missions change depending on what stage you are at, he also plays ultra slow and doesn't mention the massive amount of creativity and fun there is outside of hitting other planets.
There are missions where you save the word from sentient space-capable dinosaurs, knock black hole bombs into solar systems, theres a boxing match esque hierarchy of assassination missions, you make friends and get chased by missiles.

I don't think the Quicklook is that terrible, considering I bought the game before it was halfway over. Quicklooks aren't supposed to show every feature in the game.

I actually played the first Solar. It is an Xbox Live Indie game.
