Quick Look: Spare Parts

The people bashing this game need to realize that this is only the first few levels and much of the game's core enjoyment is found within the coop experiences. 
 
Even Red Dead Redemption was kind of boring until you met the sheriff.

Man is it me, or does it sound like Mr. Pegg is really just phoning this in... 

METAL ARMS: GLITCH IN THE SYSTEM

Collecting ship parts always reminds me of Toejam & Earl.

There is never enough simon pegg. Visual style looks nice!

This game wanted to make me spend an hour doing Tutorials, I said, "Go to hell."

This game seems pretty awful. Nobody over 5 should play it.

Not a game for me but seems competent.

I really dig this game. For 10 bucks, it's very similar in design and quality to a LEGO Star Wars title. Although the camera angles aren't always ideal and the collision seems janky at times (you slide off of stuff you either think you shouldn't have been able to stand on in the first place or things that look flat).
 
But the online is not just "turn on Xbox Live/Playstation Network and open a game". You need an EA Account. While I know I should've known better, I really expected a dumb little arcadey brawling platformer like this to just skip it. I HATE that attitude of EA's - like they're soooo damn great that they're worth the extra headache. That the stuff in place by Xbox Live and PSN isn't good enough; here's another bullcrap password and account signin to sign up for AND input. 
 
I don't play anything online by EA, so I sure as sh** won't do it for Spare Parts. Which is a shame, because my friend has this and we should be able to play it without EA's stupid interference. IT'S JUST A DAMN PICK-UP-AND-PLAY BRAWLER. It's not like anyone is going to cheat to climb the leaderboards for Spare Parts, you jerks.

Seems interesting. Also, I looked it up and didn't even realize Pegg was Ben Flinn in Fable 3, whoa. And his robo-AI voice reminds me of 343 Guilty Spark.
