Quick Look: Splatoon 2

Why is there glitter in the ink in single player but not in multiplayer? I really don't like the sparkly glitter look.

I really want this.

And I also really need the money for a Switch.

To anyone on the fence about motion controls on Splatoon, I'd just say give it a bit of time. You gotta take a bit of time to learn the feel of the tilt controls, it's a skill you acquire (a really easy one) as anything new you do in games. Find your sweet spot for calibration... I will usually calibrate so my neutral points slightly downwards/upwards depending on the situation.

The motion controls are fun! If it doesn't work for you it's fine, but like Alex said, Splatoon's the one game I enjoy motion on.

When is the Review comming?

Not done yet but Alex walked past someone who had MGS1 Solid Snake up twice and Dan said nothing.

@larmer: My guess is they have a bit more power to work with without 7 other players on the map, so maybe they spent it on making the ink prettier?

This is an amazing game. That said, I don't understand how people can possible play with motion controls. I guess I understand if you're playing on the console itself, as the joycon joysticks are AWFUL for shooters. Other than that, turning off motion controls was essential with the pro controller.

I might just get a Switch after all. It's not as powerful as the other consoles, but Nintendo seems to have mastered how to substitute graphic detail with great art design and how to make games that are fun and engaging. I'll keep watching, but I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. The new Metroid Prime game might seal the deal for me.

I never actually got around to playing the first game, but this looks so good that it pushed me over the edge to buy a Switch. The level of charm is off the charts.

Looks like fun and I'd love to play it, but by the time I find a Switch in stock the player base will have dwindled away. Thanks a lot Nintendo.
