I kinda completely forgot this game existed. Curious to see if it's basically that Transformers thing but with TMNT.

At this point the only Platinum game I care about is Nier Automata.

Transformers was pretty great.

By having four different games in development at not a huge company and probably given very little time to actually make it like most licensed games.

I'd be more confused if anyone could make good TMNT games which doesn't seem to be the case.

I am actually enjoying this game, but I don't play many action games, and I'm a livelong Turtle fan, so, I guess it may just be nostalgia.

Their licensed games also look like remasters from that THQ era as well. This and Transformers feel like a PS2 game with a visual upgrade.

This is easily my most disappointing game of 2016. Now I understand how Sonic fans feel. You grow up with a franchise that used to be great, and then, over the last decade, the games for said franchise have been garbage. I need to tell myself that TMNT is dead (in terms of games and movies), the Nickelodeon show isn't half bad.

I agree it's a shame and I was really hoping this would be good like Devastation, but this seems like it's from the Korra team instead of the MGR team and they have a two big games in production right now that I'm sure they are focusing more on than a licensed game.

At least the music is decent.

I'm a huge TMNT fan and have been super hyped for this game since its existence was just a rumor. I don't think that it looks terrible; beat 'em ups and these kinds of action games are my favorite genre and I don't necessarily need every game to be as intense as Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden (I thought that Korra was alright). However, this game seems really misguided. I would have rather they throw a Dynasty Warriors-esque amount of enemies at you and have you wailing on them be the sole mission objective. Running around defusing bombs and looking for things to do sounds ridiculous.

I'll buy this eventually, despite the negative word of mouth this game is getting, but 40 bucks is a tough sell. Waiting for a Steam sale sounds like the way to go. It's a shame. Platinum X Ninja Turtles should have been incredible, not . . . so bleh.

I still don't understand how they went from Bayonetta, the single best character action game in the past 10 years.. to these games. I get that Bayonetta didn't sell and Bayonetta 2 being Wii U exclusive was sending the sequel out to death, but this huge drop in quality on every level is perplexing. This game doesn't even have a good combat system, it's like bargain bin shovelware.

What a bummer.

@humanity: it seems like they are a multi team studio, with their A team working on the good stuff like Bayonetta, and the B team churning out licensed games like this and The Legend of Korra.

@whatshisface: It's a joke because pizza sounds like " piece a' " which is slang (that from what I've seen is mostly associated with Italians/mafia) for "piece of"... Which I can only imagine could be SUPER confusing if you aren't an English speaker or happened to have never encountered it before!

There was a time when the idea of putting Platinum on anything sounded great. Now, you have to wonder which Platinum you're going to get.

I feel for Jason. Considering how great the latest TMNT TV series is, you'd think Nickelodeon would want to put major bank behind some games. Oh well.

The way those mission objectives were worded felt really weird, and it wasn't just the redundant acronyms.

I feel like the turtles should be "Stopping the Robbery" not "Protecting the ATM", because the way it is it feels a bit like they've got some kind of weird vested interest in the banking system.

I can confirm to @unastrike that the IDW comics are great. They do some mucking about with the origins that is weird but in a good way, and I've really enjoyed everything about it.

The game looks very...adequate, in a way that begs for it to rise above. At least it's not a complete shitshow like Out of the Shadows was? I'll pick it up after a price drop I guess.

You do realize that Bayonetta 2 only happened because Nintendo backed. Sega had no interest in funding a sequel.

This looks mediocre but not terrible. Considering the TMNT games, it's probably better than the majority of other games that use the IP.

Apparently he's Leo, Splinter, and Shredder. That seems excessive. Also it seemingly assures multiple "North talking to North" situations.
