Oh its finally finally out? WOOP! I've always found Tekken to be very approachable unlike some other fighting games, plus it looks like this release doesn't have any micro-transaction shenanigans going on, which really shouldn't be a plus by now but is a relief to see.

Tekken is awesome, just been reminded of that. Might have to pick this up, though I might wait to see how the PC version turns out.

I've been playing Injustice 2 for so long that those health bars look super tiny and rounds are so short.

This game seems dope as heck, as someone who grew up with Tekken as their main fighting series I'm very glad to see this come through at last. I'm more of a Street Fighter man these days, but I still have so much love for Tekken - and it clicks with more of my friends, too, so I'll have tons of people to play with. I love everything about Paul Phoenix with a moustache and Bullet Club shirt.

On a related note, I started watching all the Ranking of Fighters again (because it's been a while since the last one) and I got excited just remembering that some day you'll get to apply the science to Tekken 3. Can't wait for more of them - I imagine Ben must be undergoing his postgrad studies to learn the clinical scientific methods behind the trials right now...

Tekken has always had some of the best opening FMV sequences, and I see that 7 is right up there. I'll definitely buy it now.

Got my fightstick yesterday. I am hyped and ready to go for this.

This is the first fighting game I've ever preordered... something about this one speaks to me.

With this, Guilty Gear Rev 2, and Injustice 2 all out, 1st half of 2017 has been a unrelenting force for fighting games.

And it totally makes you forget SFV was a thing.

P.S. There is a strong hint that classic characters like Armor King will be put out for free while the season pass will likely be original content.

A lot of things look cool except 1) the weapon stuff is just dumb and 2) the music. Dubstep is back I guess jesus H 3) how they still do the "ground is breaking apart when you fall on it" thing, looks so goofy now.

@artisanbreads: I dunno, I find the silly dubstep endearing ever since I played a good amount of Tekken Revolution.

@ripelivejam: Same here. Jeff + Jason fighting game stuff is where it's at. Ben is a great addition to the fighting game duders.

As for Tekken 7, I am so fucking ready for this.

I really hope the PC version turns out well.

Might be the final nail in the PC fighting game coffin if it isn't... at least for me.

Edit: Man. If that Treasure mode is an actual VS CPU where you fight other players' shadows that's a really cool way to do VS CPU, with like zero of the stress that comes with online play. I'm waaay into that.

Seeing Akuma wearing tight leather pants is about the funniest thing I've seen this year.

The game itself looks very attractive. No sign of Michael Transaction either!

I've seen gifs of when the game goes in slow mo the animations look really jittery and bad so i can't say i'm a fan of it.

I wasn't really interested in this game until watching it at Combo Breaker. That shit was sooo good.

I feel compelled to explain to the Bomb Squad that there is only 1 volcano throwing in Tekken.

Before Tekken 1 Heihachi threw kid Kazuya into a ravine. Then at the end of Tekken 1 Kazuya returned to favour. Then at the end of Tekken 2 the victorious Heihachi upped the ante by throwing Kazuya into a volcano.

Absolutely NOT!! The day they remove the "arching back when they lose" animation in Tekken is the day I re-enact that in loop in protest in front of their offices.

As soon as you guys showed that you could see the endings and intros of all the past Tekken games my mind pretty much exploded. The association of Tekken with New Japan leads me to think that AJ Styles was sooooo close to being an ACTUAL Tekken character. This game seems pretty darn cool. Right now I'm still leaning towards Injustice 2 as the next fighting game I buy. Thanks for this quick look.
