Wasn't sure how much skill the game required until Jeff popped in and showed how poorly an unskilled player comes off.

Quoted for truth!
The first Dishwasher game was a lot of fun and I could not be more excited for this sequel.
I don't know why this is getting so much hate. People should give it a try first; it's hard, but still a lot of fun.

I dont see what is so special about this game. I have heard a lot of love for it, but it looks like a worse version of Shank.

Wow, the hate is really piling on in here... I always thought the general consensus of Dishwasher was quite positive.

I loved the first one. It was everything I enjoyed about DMC, shed of everything I hated about DMC, and a tiny bit of Ninja Gaiden thrown in for flavor.

You play as the sister of the guy in the first one right? The series' story has something to do with robot overlords and some such nonsense, which was pretty cool because it let you fight with a chef (your boss at the place you dish washed) at the end game of Dead Samurai.

Having met James at PAX East, the way he dresses is a bit emo hipster, but he is actually a very nice and cool guy who was just enthusiastic about making indie games with semi-old school roots in them.

Eh, Giantbomb has become a conduit for people who hate something to be very vocal about hating it and gather a large following. It used to be more excitement about the community, but now it is just haters hating on everything really, and dismissing everything that they haven't tried or don't like.

This game looks fun, but the fact that I never finished the first game makes me a little hesitant to get this one.  My main problem with The Dishwasher was it just took too long for the enemies to go down.  The fact that Ryan mentioned that as an improvement might bring me back on board.

Guys you should do some FUN QL. For example you can try some AWESOME pc games from the guys who brought us farming simulator 2011 -  Digger Simulator 2011,   Police Simulator,   Sail Simulator 2010,  Space Shuttle Mission Simulator,   Tanker Truck Simulator,   Garden Simulator and ETC. They got a lot of this stuff, only imagine QLS about that.  Just remember that QL of Farming Simulator :)

To be honest, I really don't like the art direction of this series at all. The constant dread these games seem to be filled with is just kind of depressing and dreadful, and the scribbly art style combined with the lack of color just really mount to something that is wholly uninteresting in terms of the aesthetic presentation. It's strange, because I'm not one to contest mindless, violent, bloody action, but something about this games just strikes me as overdone and needlessly bloody and violent.

Honestly, this does remind me a little bit of a flash game, just because the character designs and levels just looks lazy and thrown together, which amounts to the fact that I'm not a fan of the scribbly art style regardless.

For those totally into this, I'm glad, but it's just not for me.

While I was not a fan of the writing, I found the dark, twichy and violent aesthetic quite appealing. Not many games, if any, go for this kind of overt emo look so that's kinda cool by itself.

Would have probably played it, if I could.

Huh. The scribbled, silly style has the opposite effect on me. I take none of it seriously and find it hard to get depressed or worked up about it. It all has a kind of goofy, dumb fun vibe to me.
