No All Systems Goku this week but I will take the first half of this.

Hyper Dimension was brilliant as long as you turned the frame skip up real high in the emulator... I wish it hadn't been such a treacly game. It feels like going back to the original, slower Street Fighter II after Turbo, but arr, I loves it in me heart.

This just makes me want to watch salty bet.

A major reason why we were initially confused about Pluto was because we didn't know about its relatively big moon, Charon, which is half the size of Pluto and was messing up observations due to its binary orbit with the pseudo-planet. Scientists thought they were looking at one celestial body, but they were instead looking at two revolving around each other (or, well, a mutual center of gravity). This led to the initial misconception that Pluto was a little smaller than Mars. After Charon was discovered, Pluto eventually got knocked down in size considerably. Here's a press release from 1986 announcing the determination of more accurate size estimates. You can see Pluto's on shaky ground already; the authors note that it's kind of weird to have a planet that's smaller than Earth's moon.

Dava Sobel's excellent book The Planets, written before Pluto was officially demoted, argues that Pluto should instead be celebrated as the first of many new, mysterious worlds that lie in and beyond the Oort Cloud. I think the ever-enigmatic Setsuna would approve.

So you're unaware of the science relating to waifu physics? It's a hotbed for scientific debate and there isn't a consensus on anything yet.

@beartaco: For me, it got off to a bumpy start, but as someone who *isn't* even into fighting games, I now make sure to watch every new episode. They figured out a nice formula and feel for it, and as well as showing the games, it also gives them space to 'riff'.

@benpack I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news ben but I'm calling your scientific results into question. 22 in hex is 0x16 not 0x15 as Jeff used on video! Research fraud is a very serious crime.

Since people like to call certain characters "pure fanservice" let's see just how fan-servicey they are and see which franchises over-represent busty female fighting characters? Every figure you see in this chart is indeed canonical, gotten from the legit BWH measurements found in various art books or even the websites of the fighting games themselves. The only thing that's not 100% canon is the cup sizes which I did via estimate basing them on various JAV models (since in Japan they measure busts completely differently than anywhere else, so actual Japanese models are the only ones I have to go on for reference)

For those curious, in Japan unlike the rest of the world when they measure bust size they do it over the breast, as opposed to the United States/UK where bust size is determined by measuring under the breast and the actual breast is a different stat. This is why I am unable to input certain characters from Western franchises like "Skull Girls" despite having their measurements out there because it requires way more actual conversions than I care to do. Thus the quickest way to determine which fighting game character has the biggest breasts is to simple look at the Japanese "bust" measurement in centimeters.

Anyone who is legitimately irritated that Pluto is no longer a planet is someone I have no interest in interacting with.

This feels wrong not having your Chief Scientist there to set everything straight and equally wrong putting that hot garbage in the top 20.

The same group keep trying to argue that Pluto is a planet, and they keep getting smacked down by the IAU.

Pluto is a dwarf planet, along with about a thousand other small bodies in our solar system.

@trenteaston: An interesting chart, but "bust" measurement is actually insufficient to determine the size of the bosom. You touch on this a bit in your explanation, but "bust" is really just the measurement around the chest, all inclusive. If a woman is bigger in frame her "bust" number is going to be high even if she has small breasts. As a scientist, I must suggest you need to work on your methodology.

Is it normal to still have crushes on the sailor moon characters when you are like 30? This is a hypothetical question.
