The easiest way to get past the "DON'T LOOK AT ME!" stage of magic is to dump all of the cards, either "accidentally" or a purposeful pour. And then you can look at them when putting the cards back together. It can also add some humor.

Ok, the show kills off WAY MORE main characters than the books, it is literally the exact opposite of what Alex said. The show started relying on killing off more characters for cheap shock value because they had no idea what the fuck they were doing as soon as they ran out of book material around season five.

The wife and I have recently hopped back into Stardew and it is forever delightful

God I love this game, and Abby's farm is great for only having played 40 hours!

Abby talked about not knowing what else to do because she's almost done with the thing the game kind of states is the "main" goal, the Community Center. I focused on everything, big or small and had a blast spending 100 hours on my Outer Haven farm. The only thing I didn't do was catch all the fish.

Filling the greenhouse with iridium sprinklers and ancient fruit is what I did, it's a huge profit for like no work, it rules.

Hooray Stardew! That game is great but when I went back to it to try out the multiplayer, watering the crops seemed like so much work to keep up with each day.

Abby is right. Someone else's pee all the way. I'd rather not be periodically incontinent, especially if it happened without my knowledge. Someone else's pee is a one-time deal, you can be more judicious about looking at the floor, but your own pee is inescapable.

Edit: Unless you're driving really, really far, 14 years of city driving is way harder on a car than 14 years of highway driving. The constant stop and go wears the fuck out of everything. (Correct me if I'm wrong but that's what my parents and longtime mechanic have drilled into me)

Love a stardew stream

I played Stardew Valley when it first released, and put ~100 hours into it in like 3 weeks. It was so addicting. But then I had my fill, and "finished" it (completed the community center and reached year 3) and I petered off. Between Abby talking about it on the podcast, and then her briefly showing it a few weeks ago on a stream before this one, I got back into playing to see firsthand what's changed since I last touched it. Been playing it for a few weeks now, and just hit year 3 on my new file earlier today. Addicted all over again. I've almost put in an additional 100 hours into playing this time around.

You probably should make more sprinklers... even the lower quality ones. I get that you want a giant crop, but they're so damn rare. And you can still have some un-sprinklered plots for that. But you burn so much of the day (and energy) by having to water all of those crops manually.

In terms of pure space, it's actually more efficient to use barns instead of sheds. Even the default, un-upgraded barn has more usable spaces in the interior than a shed does. I think it's kind of dumb that that's the case, but that's how it is. You can decorate a shed, though... And sheds are a new addition for me, so I go with those anyways.

I looooooove this game so much. And I love watching playthroughs/let's plays since there's really no way to play the game "wrong." The player's style really gets a chance to shine through.

Vinny, the second deal is very advanced. Start simpler.

100% agree with Alex about the 'max efficiency' farms some people seem to favour. A big, empty and arid space with grids-upon-grids of crops just feels wrong to me, somehow. Give me a verdant forest and its clutter any day.

Also, thank you to Abby for noting that flowers = honey. It didn't even cross my mind to use my flowers for those! Makes them a more compelling crop to grow, for sure (as I recall them not selling for a lot at Pierre's, even at gold-tier? Maybe I'm misremembering; either way)
