1. Exoprimal looks exactly like my type of stupid.

2. Those last 2 SE games looked really rough. Also is the Valkyrie Profile game not being made by Tri-Ace? And did we need another strategy game from them right after Triangle Strategy?

3. I agree with the team that Sony needs to come up with a better package for this stuff. Could really use a human touch.

I'm with you Jason, I also thought Exoprimal was the rebirth of Dino Crisis and was kind of disappointed. Especially since some of those human characters do look like the ones from that series.

October is going to be interesting. Both Forsaken and Gotham Knights is coming out, unless both get delayed again. I'm looking forward to both games. And I'm glad there is a new Valkyrie Profile game, even if the trailer did look kind of funky.

Games I'm most excited for are out of this State of Play are

Giga Bash (aka King of Monsters 2022), Trek to Yumi and TMNT Collection.

While I'm glad it's not a new Dino Crisis game however, it's disappointing that it's not a new Dino Crisis game.

Very glad it wasn't Dino Crisis because it looks closest to Dino Crisis 3 which was the worst one.

Oh hey, that TMNT collection is a Digital Eclipse production. Even if the games themselves are hit-and-miss, there should be some nice bonus content.

In the other trailer for the Exoportal game during a cutscene they call it a crisis.

I just don't think that is a coincidence. Yes, dinos pouring out a portal is a crisis, but there are many words to use in this example other than crisis. The person who is working on this game, please weigh in, is this a Dino Crisis? Or just a dino crisis?

I'm totally down for the Turtles collection! I own half of those carts, but I'll still gladly pay $40 to have all that and more on my Switch. As for the rest of the show. . .eh. I'll probably wishlist the Jojo game.

Gerstman is correct and Jason is wrong. Even speaking as someone that likes Dino Crisis. Making a new IP rather than some half-hearted pseudo-reboot that locks in certain design principles is the better move. Especially when it's going to be an online (possibly online only) multiplayer horde game anyway.

first person Gundam makes no sense to me, I want to look at my cool robot, not pretend to be the child soldier in the cockpit.... maybe I'm just grumpy that they won't make a tactics game that isn't SD Gundam

Keep on seeing people reference other games when Gigabash is clearly Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee, which is kinda cool?

Also that JoJo fighting game IS 2D and is pretty cool, unlike a lot of modern anime fighter stuff. Glad to have it on modern consoles!

I'm of the mind that if you care about Dino Crisis, you should be happy that Exoprimal doesn't carry that name. This seems to be more akin to Left4Dead, Back4Blood, WorldWarZ and Vermintide than it is to Dino Crisis. At that point, why would you want that association to be there? It's not like coop shooters are known for their excellent worldbuilding or great storymoments to tie this thing nicely to the Dino Crisis games of yore. A new name will let us judge it on it's own merits, without having to be a satisfying 'follow-up' to ancient games that played nothing like this.
