I finished this game in about 7 hours.

I just stuck with the main gun, didn't really even figure out how to swap them until much later in the game.

Similarly I had no clue how to use the special abilities until hour 6 or so and at that stage it was a piece of cake.

Overall I enjoyed it but it seemed pretty easy. I think I only failed 3 missions in total

Damn, watching this and that shield effect, all I can think of is that I'd like a new Perimeter game. And a new entry in the classic Dreamcast franchise Incoming for the shooty part.

@finstern: The dev took some early reviews and made major changes to the game making it much easier because previously on release it was insanely hard. The game had a death loop from hell, and it needed to be changed for sure. Mack from Worth A Buy put out an early review loving on the game but pointing out how the death loop was nuts and made the game infuriatingly hard. So, the dev listened.

@fisk0: Incoming was the first game that came to mind for me too.

Thanks Brad covering this game. I saw it on unprofessional fridays and checked it out and it is a great game to listen to podcasts while playing.

That cliffhanger ending! Was that final weapon he purchased primary or secondary!? Why would the game be so infuriatingly obtuse about that one thing?

I appreciate how fresh this is when so many TDs these days are exact clones of each other.

@d_w: the greatest tower defense game ever, in my humble opinion.

Did anyone play X-Morph: Defense? That game is similar in that you're controlling a separate entity alongside your towers. If you like this kind of game you owe it to yourself to check it out. Graphics and gameplay are both the best I've ever experienced in the genre.

This looks interesting, will definitely check it out. The art style reminds me of the Supreme Commander/Planetary Annihilation games.
