Also, having seen my fair share of 80s toy commercial-like ads made in the recent years of current tv-series/games, I'd pay money to see someone make that Turtle Van bit into one of those.

I almost never comment on podcasts, but I needed to come here to say this: A Mass Effect playthrough from Alex with Vinny as "guide" would be so incredible, I hope this is more than a passing joke...

I only really got into rhythm games over the past year after finding some I actually liked in Japanese arcades (Museca, Jubeat). I've tried most of the ones that I've come across and the typical recommends, and easily my favorite by a mile is Dynamix on Android (also on iOS). I've played tens of hours over the past year and still do regularly thanks to still not being amazing at it (only just busting into Hard mode variants) and the weekly events which net new songs to keep via in-game points. Fair warning: it can be extremely anime, in case that's a deal-breaker.

I would lay the whole thing out in detail, but maybe I'll just update the wiki page sometime soon...

I absolutely devoured AC Origins. It took me 122 hours but I did everything in that game. Its the first game since Mass Effect 2 that I went out of my way to get 100% of the achievements

Anyone notice the way that Alex talked about playing through the Mass Effect games?

Well, I would be down for turning Alex's first playthrough of the Mass Effect series into a new video series. It would be fun to see those games again through the eyes of a first timer.

Seeing how Alex brought up ME here and in a tweet a few days ago, I'd be surprised if that didn't turn into a series. I just hope it's not actually months off and that this was some really early teasing. Currently on a vacation and it'd be a real treat to see episode one pop up in the upcoming section.

Considering the spread of how the cast feels about Bioware games(Vinny usually loves them, Alex can't stand them, and Dan doesn't give a shit about the story), I think it would be pretty entertaining to watch a Mass Effect series. I like parts of those games, but I have a lot of frustrations with them, too. What they're always good for is giving you something to talk about, one way or the other. You'll never be bored for topics.

Hearing you guys talk about Dreams makes me more excited to play it than I ever have been before. I'm also super excited for RDR 2, and I'm really looking forward to Spider-Man as well.

The problem I always had with Thumper, and specifically with keeping me engaged in trying to beat it is that it doesn’t change all that much musically, it just starts getting increasingly difficult. While the sound design is interesting, the clangs and pot pan smashing sounds just weren’t doing it for me at length.

I didn't play a Hitman till the most recent episodic release. Not really sure why.

Dang Abby, that's a harsh stance to take on memorization of the Bible. I just got back from being in South Africa helping people who literally have nothing and no one to help them other than the church. Your first world view disturbs me to think that it is "fucking worthless" when to others in the world, that it is the only shred of hope they have to make it through the day without food or water and being shipped into sex trafficking.

Vinny's rendition of Kokomo at the end had me in stitches. Absolutely hilarious

I remembered having fond memories of Gremlins 2 as a kid, so I bought the Gremlins 2-pack a few years ago. Gremlins 2 was painful to watch, it is so bad, it would be really difficult to enjoy it any other way than ironically. First movie still great though.

@curryspiced: Agree 100%, but without the fond memories. I watched them both in the past year, and Gremlins was surprisingly amazing. Gremlins 2 was a downgrade in almost every respect. As Alex said, there were probably drugs involved with just how crazy everything was, but I personally didn't think any of the charm carried over. It just felt "lol random".

I actually have Gremlins as my 101st favorite movie of all time (at the moment, subject to change). 2 isn't even in the top 1000. =/
