I'm pretty sure most people didn't bathe because why waste time bathing when you could be working and surviving. Not to mention it would be a waste of water since the majority didn't have drinkable water readily available.

I couldn't afford Rock Band when it came out but I would love to give the drum set a go if I could find one in nice quality and with a decent price.

In the middle ages the church discouraged bathing. Public baths were generally considered seedy, often where prostitutes solicited. A couple of other things to remember this is when soap was created in Europe. Also bathing is a lot more effort than washing yourself with warm water, soap, and a rag.

In case folk are curious: Warframe also has to deal with the "long running live game" issue where you can do most quests/events out of order and certain "main" quests advance the story/world state.

Mostly it is handled by carefully not mentioning world state but if an NPC associated with a quest, for whatever reason, would not be communicating with you it has a pretty nifty approach. Your damaged/defective AI buddy simulates what that NPC would have said and you just get a purple pop up on your codec. It works surprisingly well and makes it so that newbies can go pretty far without ever getting spoiled.

Use those old instruments for Clone Hero, if you've still got a passing interest in music rhythm games.

I grew up in rural Illinois USA. My mom did not have indoor plumbing for the first decade of her life.

Saying you're excited for the next stage of something you don't have a next stage for is straight-up falser advertising. I commend People Can Fly for being upfront and honest about what they're doing. Having everything on the disc doesn't mean no end-game, and end-game content is different than a live service game. People aren't continuing to play Diablo 2 and 3 because they're updating it with new expansions and content, they've doing it because the gameplay is good and building a new character with new gear is satisfying in and of itself. A live service isn't the only way to enjoy a game in the long-term and insinuating that Outriders is somehow lesser for not attaching itself to a roadmap is pretty wild to me tbh.

That ending made me nervous...

I'd consider Outriders to be something more akin to Remnant: From the Ashes. I didn't think it was supposed to be a live service game. It just seemed like a game you could play solo or jump in and out with friends. I know the online server thing might give live service impressions but nothing else about that game screams live service to me.

this might be hard for vinny since there's four of you in the family, put the compost bag in the freezer until it's ready to go out to the bin (you still have to avoid really liquidy waste in the compost though).

Love the compost talk. I just got into vermicomposting (worms yo) this year and it's honestly sort of fun especially for kids, much more fulfilling than prior attempts at hot composting and the tumbler. And affordable as fuck considering all you need is some form of bin and some red wigglers. This all sounds very weird typing out but the process of feeding frozen organic scraps to the worms and receiving free fertilizer for the garden is way more exciting than one would think.
