I always love it when they play this!!

They need to find some way around kill stealing. When one person takes the human from full health to a sliver, and then someone else's blob shoots them and kills them, the former should become human; not the blob's owner. There needs to be a lot of serious balancing. Maybe the monsters could be much stronger, as well... or adding a slight handicap so even level 1 humans had some chance against max-level monsters.

Drew is the blob master.

Are they ever going to insert new bosses?

Is a jelly bean sweeter than an apple?

Thank god Drew is there to figure out this build's newer mechanics to some degree.

I hereby vote that all AI options or helpers be forever known as "cheese curds".

10 bucks is a great deal for an idea like this. Especially now that you don't need other people to play this.

I love the kill stealing mechanic. You still get blood from doing damage, and the kill steal makes for some great couch co-op moments. Going from monster teamwork to a sudden free-for-all when the hero's health is close to zero.

This game looks fucking great.

Anyone have a reference to the android "Sweeter than apple" version explanation? Can't seem to find it anywhere.

Bought it and played it with bots. If you control the boss' right arm (bubbles) it seems real easy to zone out the person attacking. They stay for a good while, so if you position them right you can make it so they can't get the bombs things from the right angle, and if they do, place one right in front of the brain and you'll mitigate all their damage potential, pretty much. Got the bad ending, I guess, denied the attacker 5 times and the game ended.

Kinda fun even with bots, but I'm really looking forward to playing it with people this weekend.

@spidoman I read that was the reason behind MS using the codename "mango" for win phone 7.5, but I've never read or heard about it in relation to android before, just that they codenamed all their releases after desserts.

was hoping this was the other crawl. that would have been far more interesting.

Really interested in the game but unless my wife or my 7 month old want to play with me odds of me finding time to have 3 friends over and play it locally are pretty much non-existent.

I understand the desire for some of these games to be geared towards local co-op, but man it really is a bummer since almost all of my multiplayer gaming is done online.

I could be wrong, but I think this game plays hell with Jeff's colorblindness. He routinely misses small bits of gold, health potions & pickups, and red crystals - I've noticed this occurance in all the Crawl playthrough videos GB has posted.

Always glad to see Crawl quick looks, aside from the part where at least one or two of the guys playing didn't seem to understand that it's a two-button game and never tried to use their special abilities in combat

I wish I had friends to play this with or that all these local multiplayer games would include online stuff.

The bot stuff at least allows me to try the game, so theres that.

Yeah, the colors in this are kinda washed out, and Jeff mentioned during the Hohokum quick look that apart from having issues telling colors like green, yellow etc apart, he doesn't see red well either, so I'm sure that lightly saturated red they use for crystals and the acid/blood pools must be hard to see.

Have they figured out they should use the blobs in the trap rooms yet?

Really sucks Drew didn't even get to become human once. The killstealing thing I don't think is a 100% issue, but maybe have an option between it being last hit, and most damage toggleable.

Local co-op is fun and all, but having three friends with three other jobs who all happen to know how to play video games all have free time at once is kind of tough. If more of these games included online, I would buy more of them. Broforce did it, guys, you can too.

I haven't watched this yet, but I'm just going to assume I will find parts of it painful based on me playing somewhere around 6 or 7 hours of Crawl with friends last week.

@development: Kill stealing is actually a crucial mechanic of this game. Without kill stealing, a player who stayed human for too long would never be able to become human again, because his shitty teir 1 creatures will never do as much damage as someone who spent a long time in ghost and got his guys mega ranked up.

@development: I think it is balanced by acquiring blood when attacking the human.

Truly. I definitely started to see some more of the complexity thanks to him. This game is incred.
