An anime podcast is started up because they get interested in watching DBZ and know that a lot of the community is into it, too. They figure out a way to attend an anime convention because they know a lot of the community is enjoying the small amounts of added anime talk and it'd be a stupid good time. The people arranging for them to go to the convention hang out and have fun on the fuck around Friday show.

This is a step too far for some people? Seems like the same GB to me. Half of them already enjoy anime. They're just having fun and branching out in the most minor of ways. All the other content is still here and being made. Don't shit on the new things that get done in addition to all of the old things they still do. It's just a little something for everyone.

Yea, it's crazy that people have an issue with this lol. Not only does Victoria just seem like a legit fun person (and yea, totally see the Danika, who also seems like a fun person, in her), but also this is marketing for *Jeff's thing*. It's not like they're here promoting Anime Expo.

Anyway, I think this is a good direction for the site because everyone knows that once you grow up and become an adult that doesn't do baby things like video games anymore, the natural next mature thing to do is watching nonstop anime.

Red Faction: Guerilla is not only one of my favorite open world games ever, it's also the review that brought me to this site.

Didn't expect backlash in the comments as I watched this week's UPF... Virtually every guest promotes their work to some extent, be it The Foo Show, NoClip, Cloth Map or Twitch. The only difference, y'all happen to be more interested in those things.

@squashysquish: It's totally okay to have Mary spit game about GameSpot, or Drew and Cloth Map or Danny with NoClip, but god forbid they have some anime people on stream once (ignoring that one of them is a producer and not super into anime).

This was a really fun and energetic show and I'm super glad that Victoria and Braith were able to make the show. Anyone who is getting toxic about a couple of guests on the show can let their subs lapse. It's such a gross, VIP-only attitude.

You are right and all of those bother me, when they are inserted into a PAID show. Do a free stream and I am ok with it, this was too far for me.

But this is the only show where it wouldn't feel forced. The whole format of the show makes it perfect for random friends to drop in and promote their stuff. Would you rather then to suddenly invade a quick look with stuff like this?
