In this kind of game, you can usually count on the basic deathmatch, progression system, and set of rather annoying children throwing random obscene insults. A little context before the review proper:It's hard to believe that a fresh, new Nintendo IP is a reality in 2015, but perhaps even harder to fathom the genre: online shooter. For many, myself included, the thought of having to play (endure) an online shooter brings about anxiety and despair. Example: in 2009, Uncharted 2 was a masterpiece in cinematic story-telling, and included an online mode that I reluctantly decided to try. This game manages to take the simple concept of painting the environment and turns it into a fun multiplayer shooter. The story mode isn't half bad either with it getting really interesting near the end of the game. Most of the levels of the single player game are a bit easy so don't expect it to challenge you till near the end. The shooter with the most style.Splatoon is a shooter with Style, from its characters to gameplay Nintendo has delivered on all fronts for their newest IP. First and foremost Splatoon is a multiplayer focused third person shooter in which two teams of four squids battle it out for 3 minutes to gain map control.
