Gentlemen (and Ladies), 
 
For a good holiday read, I present to you this: 
 

• Dragonshadow was calmly playing GameTrailer's 2009 GOTY, Modern Warfare 2.
• Dragonshadow was hit with a VAC Ban on Modern Warfare 2
• Dragonshadow was hit with a VAC Ban on all other Steam Games
• Dragonshadow starts going on the Help Desk and lashes out at Valve employees.

The best thing he could have done was try to apologize for what he did and try to prove that nothing like this will happen in the future.

Basically the moral of the story is this:  If you have a unique online ID, make sure you have alts for when you do shady shit.

That was a good read. Dude should've quit while he was ahead since he only ended up making himself look like a huge tool.

You know, Valve should really implement some kind of "head on a stake" tactic to further discourage cheaters.  If reading that mess doesn't discourage someone from using a cheating program not much will.

I thought it was hilarious when he demanded things from customer support. That's the best way to make the support person not want to help you at all.

Mad props to VAC, scum like him ruined MW2 on the PC for me in the months before Black Ops went live.

Meh, reddit is a place for the fickle. Everyone gets up in arms for ANYTHING. Valve who has been pretty much above par with it's own community gets lashed out by some kid who is dubious enough to fool a lot of people, some who go along with following 9/11 conspiracies and yell about how we should not just believe what we are told (I followed a few of the users just out of curiosity and YES I know ! too much free time). Turns out he lied, no one one's surprise and they turn. It is strange to see how people used to view the internet as a place for a free exchange of ideas but the more time passes it's slowly homogizing into what everything else is. Another place where blow hards and do nothings can just spew random unvalidated pot filled existential thoughts and hide behind the shroud of "Opinion". Valve isn't going to have this HUGE anti-cheat system that just works randomly. This isn't 1984 folks, programs are much more sophisticated and the "Well.... Well It must be a bug then."  Isn't as easily swallowed as it was.. Of course this kid cheated, it was obvious from the get go.

Tools like him are the ones ruining online gaming. Well deserved ban (and long read).

Good ol Reddit always does their research. Honestly one of the better forums around. 

As soon as he said he should be banned from both L4D2 and L4D because they run on the same engine, I knew that this guy was a dumb ass and a fuckin bullshitter.

ha, cheaters.  He went through ALL THAT just to get more kills in modern warfare 2, and now he can't even play.  What a failure.
