Tournaments over. Rice Balls took it, edging out Bearded Dynasty Nuns in the final.
Thanks to everyone that participated, couldn't have happened without you. Only took five days too which is pretty succesful in my opinion. Already thinking about the next one, unless someone else would like to host a tourney (would be nice for me, organising this shit ain't fun.)
Ideas are:
Straight up singles, single elimination(like this but by yourself)
Singles league (similar to static's last tourney) - You try to play everyone once during one week, 3 points for a win, most points at the end of the week wins, wouldn't have to worry about no shows
POW RIOTS 2
Team thingy - 2 captains, each pick 4 members, 5 1 v 1 matches, 3 points for a win, team with most points wins
One nighter - Another one of Static's ideas, get everyone in an endless lobby, first to 10 wins wins (2 lobbies if necessary, in which case winners of each lobby play in final)
@Pessh: Thanks for hosting the tournament Pessh and thanks to everyone for great sportsmanship (yes, even you Killroy) Rice Balls (Ricetopher and me) will definitely be game for whatever tourney comes next :)
Also wanted to thank Bearded Dynasty Nuns for the great last match, it was very VERY close.
Good games, close match in the finals there. Now if only I didn't suck and could have gotten at least 1 win.
Also, if the next tournament is going to be sooner rather than later I would totally be willing to host, but not participate (if that's allowed/possible).

My good friend J_Las_Vegas is picking up my slack and is going to post some recordings next week. Parts of the PHP v Rice Balls semi-finals and the BDN v Rice Balls matches. Thanks again Vegas!

You did great in the semi finals. Shame you didn't win anything in the Finals, but considering the opposition that's nothing to be ashamed off!
I'll team up with you again without even a second of thought. Wait.. that came out wrong.
@J_Las_Vegas: Those videos make me feel better about not being able to play with you guys. I'm sure watching my bewilderment when playing Hawk would have made for good viewing though :)
@thegoldencat7: It's fairly obvious you don't have much exp against Hawk but I thought you adapted pretty well in those games. Good play.
@mubress: I'm not going to watch the videos but I do remember lots of silly jump-ins leading to instant 360s and one ex scissor kick that effectively lost us the match. Its all good though. I should have been more cautious, its just not in my nature. Shame you've missed out on the PS3 fun. It was always fun playing you, even when I got destroyed.
@J_Las_Vegas: Thanks for posting these. I'm getting really self aware of all the jumping and whiffed FAs I'm doing. These vids will help me improve :) On a side note, the Saikyo Showdown Brackets are up.
@mubress: I don't think anyone was prepared for the Hawk matchup. I think it was the first time anyone had seen someone do something other than Condor Dive.
