For $7 it shouldn't be that hard, but give me some good points.

Sell me on the Witcher.
It was GotY because there weren't any other RPGs that year. :D
I love RPGs but I didn't like the witcher at all. I couldn't play it for more than an hour... I stopped right after I cured a woman of some sickness and she wanted to have sex right the way. What a stupid game. When the "enhanced edition" patch came out I tried it again and 10min in I found a really nasty bug and I had to reload a save. "Enhanced edition" my ass. Bad game!!! I've heard that the game is a singleplayer mmorpg ^_^
P.S. - Also I didn't like Oblivion :D
It doesn't hold your hand, Geralt is a legendary protagonist, dialog choices actually matter and you will really think hard what to choose because the choices won't be black and white/good and bad but they will be in a sea of shades of grey and even the smallest decision will be difficult to make. The story is great, the atmosphere is brilliant and level of immersion is high as well. I wouldn't compare it to BioWare or Bethesda games, though. It's more similar to Piranha Bytes games. While there isn't a lot of loot, I like the style of armor a lot better in The Witcher than other RPGs.
Also, Dice Poker.
Dark, gritty, large, epic, rpg like, hard, funny, scary and challenging, in gameplay and story, at the same time would do it.
The combat can take a little getting used to but besides that I loved every aspect of it, RPG fans will love this.

I am disappoint.
Mass Effect aint got shit on The Witcher's medieval boning
"Hi I'm Geralt, I'm a witcher, oooh, want some wine? Ok lets do it"
Not sexy, nor the cards. xD
@Ahmad_Metallic: "Hi I'm Geralt, I'm a witcher, oooh, want some wine? Ok lets do it" Not sexy, nor the cards. xDWell you simply are not a man, lady!
This is a dude asking about the game, so you should include sexy O: ! the females in that game are such.. tasty mermaids. Ahem.
Took me two tries to get into it. Now I'm addicted. Um, unique and original leveling up system. The complexity of the potions get you really involved in herbalism and monster information. Pretty interesting plot. Some good voice acting, a lot of bad. The fighting system is really weird and pretty bad for the first hour of the game. Once you put some levels into your swords and the rest of your skills it gets interesting and fun. Give it a try, there's definitely something there. I play, prefer and suggest the mouse + keyboard control scheme with the QTS over the shoulder camera.
THE WATERLORDS ARE NIGH. YOUR MOTHER SUCKS DWARF *cough*
The universe is really well realized (to be expected of a book series), the characters are likable regardless of the uneven voice actor performances. The story had a meaningful ending that left me wanting more, not wondering what the flip just happened. It's 7$.
Make sure it's the Enhanced edition or patch it.
