I've never heard of either of those people and they were both god awful.
Edit: and the lady said Far Cry 3 made her want a tiger so she could shoot it? Add to that girlwood (girl-wood?)
she gets the edge as worse host.

Man, I HATE how I had a class during this one, because I fucking Love Tobuscus! but everyone seems to be giving him hate!
So I gotta see how hard he blundered, or maybe it's a perspective thing and that chick was just being Crazy, Cant wait and I hope when I see it it is completely unedited!
Nope, he was annoying as fuck, I had to walk out of the room while roommates were watching it.
Aisha was just as terrible as Tobuscus. Toby not being there would have just introduced more awkward silence in between Aisha's lady boner jokes, and forced enthusiasm. At least we got seething mutual hatred between the hosts instead of just bad scripts being read. If you are going to produce a trainwreck, at least make it the most bombastic insane trainwreck possible.
ACIII and Watch Dogs totally stole the show for me (bear in mind that until now, I hadn't actually seen any of ACIII in motion, so that definitely swayed me a bit (or a lot)).

They scripted him and the woman cut him off everytime he tried to make a spur-of-the-moment joke. He was totally shot down and made to play the annoying-fool person at the event. It was a truly horrible script.
Man, I missed all of that. I had the conference on mute every time they finished with the game demos and only turned it back on when I saw devs walking out on stage.

It was far from a trainwreck or "bombastic" from where I was sitting - it was a refreshing change from the usual corporate bore-fests. I find it incredible that 'jounalists' and gamers seem to have had their minds universally blown by a press conference that dared to be different.
Oh c'mon tobuscus has 1.8mil subscribers, I think he is pretty popular and he is funny sometimes, his jokes are always kind of like that, his literal trailers are why he is most popular. I thought the Ubisoft conference was freaking amazing, only games none of that fitness/casual shit. It was awesome!
i was really digging the "modern" day cyberpunk look to watch dogs. and am i the only one who thought the dialog was really well written and acted?
Fuck, I despise all these 'hilarious' youtube personalities. I'll never understand my nephew's obsession with this dork and DeFranco.

do sound old not knowing who both of these hosts were?
also anyone know what Watch Dogs was being played on, i'm guessing PC since it looked amazing and textures didn't look low def, and no framerate stutters.
most people seem convinced that Watch Dogs is "next-gen". From what I could see, it looked like the guy was holding an Xbox controller (colored buttons). I think it was probably a PC demo though.
Two things for you thing about: - I believe Watch Dogs Is actually next-gen Assassins Creed, you know...In the present or not to distant future - Rayman Legends on the Wii U colud be a real success considering the family oriented nature of the console. At least I hope so.
I remember thinking that the conference was going pretty good, and then they spent a full 4 minutes between saying ShootMania, and showing it. 4 LONG AWKWARD minutes of terribly (scripted?) banter and introductions to 7 "eSports Legends" that had never seen nor heard of. Then they showed ShootMania, and somehow it got more confusing. Nothing against the game, honestly, but they almost had to have tried to make it show that poorly. Plus, the showed nothing that made it Shoot MANIA, all I saw was "shoot."
The Just Dance opening was... painful to watch. Not that it was extremely bad, it was just wholly uninteresting. I understand that it's a money-maker, so go ahead, so a trailer, talk numbers, whatever you need to do to serve your stock-holders. However, that "performance" was a REALLY bad way to start your conference: Flo' Rida's indifference was so palpable, he would have turned his own die-hard fans. From a Lay-man's perspective, the dancing was uninteresting and seemed emotionally empty. I'm not asking for some deep emotional journey, but smile like a human being, not a robot.
Aside from what I mentioned above, most of the games looked great and I honestly thought it was a good showing. If only they could have presented it a little better

not gonna touch anything with the ubisoft name attached to it... but lol really lol
This. I'm glad for all the people into the stuff they put out but their whole lineup was very meh for me. I don't know what it was about Watch Dogs but I was instantly bored with it.

That was everything I wanted a Ubisoft press conference to be.
I'm glad someone else is in agreement. If anything, it wasn't awkward enough.
From an actual gaming standpoint though, this is definitely Ubisoft's best year in a looong time. Not a single bit of shovelware that I could see.
I'm really shocked by the amount of bile Tobuscus is getting here. Coming from someone who watched the proceedings not knowing who either host was and having to Google BOTH of them, it seemed really obvious that Aisha Tyler was the source of the hate in the press conference.
The problem Ubisoft had was hiring two completely different personalities - Tobuscus is famous for being goofy and clean (both in language and content) and speaking in a very stream-of-thought way, at least from watching his most viewed videos (the video his uploaded within the last 24 hours already has 500,000 views!), which didn't exactly blend very well with Aisha's brand of stand-up comedy where she's there with jokes prepared and a punchline already set to her rhythm, like most good comedians. Aisha got annoyed by what makes Toby funny, being a big, goofy, lovable oaf, and that killed their chemistry and led to that really awkward lead-in to Shootmania where she really did attack Toby at every chance she got.
To be fair, Ubisoft should have taken most of the blame, trying to mix two very different personalities on stage. But both Aisha and Tobuscus should have done their homework on each other or at least rehearsed, since it didn't even seem like they'd met before. I feel bad for Toby for having gotten attacked so much during that press conference, and I feel bad for Aisha who got her rhythm messed up by someone who really shouldn't have been there in the first place; Toby's inclusion was more for his name than anything, he never served a real role to move the conference forward at all and forced Ubisoft to script him into the middle of Aisha's segments, which didn't let get more than a joke or two off.
Wait, really? They got TotalBiscuit (one of the "eSports guys") to do ShootMania, but had Tobuscus as one of the hosts? I don't want to sound like a fanboy of either but TotalBiscuit openly and genuinely hates Tobuscus very, very much. How does Ubisoft manage to mix these things together? It's like having Kaiser Wilhelm host a conference in which Karl Marx makes an appearance having done some things a few days earlier. It's just slightly bonkers.
Dunno if anyone's mentioned it, but Watch_Dogs definitely has multiplayer. Looking at the demo again, when it cuts to the hacker on the rooftop, they go back for a quick shot at the presentation and show another person playing at the other side of the stage. Pretty awesome.
I'm kinda getting a weird Demon's Souls vibe by it, with the whole "Instrusion Detected" thing.
I want to play all of these games.
Except Far Cry 3, that looked bad. And Shootmania because I'm not eSports enough for it.
really sad that Tobuscus got so much hate at the conference. I just don't think he is the type of person who works with a script. You could tell that he wasn't the best with a script and I don't think any of the interrupting was intentional to piss off Aisha, I think it was just really bad script writing or something. They both did wonderful jobs and made the Ubisoft press conference a bit more interesting in my opinion, even if some of the jokes didn't all hit.
As far as the, "I bet Watch Dogs was played on the PC", who fucking cares? It's going to come out for PC, 360, and PS3 and it looks like it will be awesome on every system regardless of graphics.

That makes me feel slightly better, I love Tobuscus!
