The amount of hype for this game is insane, and I'm just curious, do any of you 360/PC/Wii owners want a PS3 because of this game?

And this game isn't getting THAT much hype.  I haven't seen people flock towards gameplay vids of it (like MW2) nor have i seen a single commercial for it.

I'm not overly excited for UC2, I am curious though. To be honest, my must have title coming up that makes me want a PS3 is Heavy Rain.

Not really. The games that make me want a PS3 are MGS4, Heavy Rain and Valkyria Chronicles. Uncharted looks very good, and I'd probably buy it if I had a PS3, but I wasn't so impressed by the PAX demo that it warranted buying a console

Which are equally as top notch.  The game isn't just a pretty face.  Yes it is pretty....but everything else about it is of equal quality.  If this game doesn't make you want a PS3 I would only be able to assume you will never want a PS3 because you have a 360 and/or  PC and thus don't want another gaming system.  Otherwise, I don't know what is wrong with you.  I mean, ya, not one game will make you buy a system but Uncharted 2 is just another one on top of many.    Glad I have everything and played everything (own 360, PS3, PC).  PS3 is my goto gaming machine especially these days (and bluray player of course). "

True. It's a great game alright but asking anyone to spend $300 just to play this is asking a lot. At the same time there's lots of great games for the PS3 now so it wouldn't hurt to get one if you've got a bit of money. "

Yes, but it's not just Uncharted 2 alone. The PS3 has grabbed enough exclusives I'm interested in to have my interest.

A little bit. Not just Uncharted 2 though, but a few games that I want to play on it now. 
 
Namely Uncharted 1 and 2, inFamous, MGS4, and maybe Killzone 2.

The hype has helped for me, as I'll here it on all the podcasts recently. I've always wanted one and since the price drop, the price is right for me, just wanna find a good priced 60GB to play my PS2 games; also have a few PS3 games anyways.

yea uncharted 1 was a game that made me want a ps3 and UC2 looks way better

1. The only true way to determine the quality of something is to compare it to other things that are simillar. So your wrong there.  2. Play station one games are in no way better than the Live Arcade let alone summer releases. Especially because they are games that already came out so that doesnt even really count when you could just buy those shitty old games on ebay and play em on a ps2 or ps1 if you really wanna play decade old games.  3. You obviously pretty ignorent (or else just trying to be an asshole on purpose) if you dont understand what im talking about, and so im not even going to try to explain to you the concept of what an online community is, or why people play games online with others because aparently you don't understand any of that.  4. And the thing that everyone is worried about with MAG is the fact that the PS3 doesnt have as good of an online community as the 360 (which i guess your not going to understand because you cant grasp that concept). Especially when the PS3 doesnt even come with a standard mic (even if you get one there is no one that uses it anyway) which is predictably going to be a problem for MAG so they are prbly going to have to give you a mic when you buy the game.  Also, idk if you know this, but when you have friends it is possible to play a system even when you dont own it. So stop getting mad when someone points out the obvious faults in a system just because you somehow feel a personal connection with the PS3 and you feel compeled to defend it (even though you really have no reason to). So why dont you take your little fanboy self and stop purposfully being a dick when someone hurts your feelings by pointing out the faults in your oh so precious PS3. "

I own a PS3 and never play it, but this game is making me extremely giddy. Also, my most anticipated game for the past 3 years has been Heavy Rain. Lets get it on.
