These guys have nothing but a pedigree of amazing games under their belt.  Whether it's the former franchises that some of these guys helped create under Capcom (Devil May Cry, Resident Evil), the franchises they started under Clover (Okami, Viewtiful Joe), or their most recent endeavors as Platinum (MadWorld, Bayonetta), they show nothing but absolute promise and know how to make absolutely incredible experiences. 
 
I'm not excited about Vanquish - I'm waiting in anticipation beyond any other game that is coming, including Red Dead Redemption. 
 
Also, seeing Alexei Tylevich's name attached helps me understand just how...interesting...this project will be.  That dood has made some crazy shit.

Very cool. I'm not fond of where the Resident Evil franchise went as a whole but I'm more than excited to see a new IP from Mikami. Also I finally ordered PN03 because I have always wanted to play it and could never find it.  I'm sure it's not very good, but it will satisfy something in me and I only paid like 5 bucks.
 
I'm with you brad, it definitely resembles that.
 
Also, keep in mind there has been a significant increase in live actors being used in advertising footage for games (think RE5), so this doesn't necessarily mean there will be any in this game. That being said, I'm all for what was shown here.

 Huh that's cool, if you check out the credits you'll see this was a Logan production. They're the same studio that made the live-action commercials and TV shows that were in MGS4.

I wasted my time thinking there would be gameplay shown in this.

There seems to be something to be said about the relationship between good cinematics and good games.

Mass Effect 2 pretty much killed other sci-fi games for me. Nothing will ever top that. Well maybe Mass Effect 3 :-)

But seriously, folks, it looks alright. It seems that the story won't be that good, so the gameplay better be top-notch.

Live action can be used if it is used stylistically rather than just lazily.

Okami, Viewtiful Joe from Hideki, MadWorld, Bayonetta from the same company. All extremely stylish and unique-looking games. And then we get a grizzled, armorclad space marine... How disappointing.

Looked neat, the live action sort of made me wish it was just a movie I could see. You've interested me, now show me what the game actually looks like.

Definitely looks EPIC.
