Monkey Ball was cool, but it's gone downhill really badly since the second one.
 
EDIT: I like the video quality on this. Much better than their DS videos, those looked nasty.

By the way, the graphics totally suck. Either the 3DS hardware blows or the developers did a shit job programming. Either way: fuck this shovelware.

Holy shit, "Monkey Fight" is just Smash Bros' Coin mode. 4 players, hanging off ledges, and the Golden Barrel is a Final Smash, darkened screen and glowing character and all.
 
Also while this game looks mediocre as hell, JohnPaulVann does nothing but troll every game so ignore him guys.

dont forget the 3ds is only 800x240, or effectively 400x240 per eye. 
 
thats half the vertical resolution of today's smartphone. its even less than the psp.

I see that one way or another, the guys got their hands on 3DS recording gear.

I'm gonna have to disagree with Ryan/Jeff/Brad here that this is straight-up Monkey Ball. This is NOT Monkey Ball. Monkey Ball was a brutally difficult, highly arcadey action game. You know, WITHOUT huge fences surrounding every level making it impossible to fall off. Even the World 8 stuff for Monkey Ball 3DS that Sega has uploaded on YouTube is still super easy, highly fenced off levels. It feels like they don't get it anymore.
 
I feel like Sega has cutesified and minigamecollection'd the Monkey Ball franchise into something that only barely resembles what Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 were, and that makes me saaaad.

Pretty disorienting the way the producer nervously keeps tilting even though he's in no danger.

I like Super Monkey Ball.

Oh god my eyes, this is really disorienting for some reason.

It's probably one of those things that doesn't bother you when you're playing, but the way the perceptive tilts and stuff is really annoying when watching.

I think that as they go forward with 3DS coverage, they should move the slider in the pic in the video depending on whether they're playing in 2D or 3D. That'd be neat, and totally unnecessary.

TIMEOUT: the monkey does not slip on the banana's in it's ball, but when it gets in a car all banana physics breaks loose and they are hazardous?

Man that crazy tilting is disoriented in 2D, I can't imagine how it is in 3D. Also, that game looks like absolute trash. Nothing about it seems good at all. I pity the person who's going to buy this game.

All that tilting looks super stressful and possibly really annoying until you get the hang of it.

the first and 2nd one had perfectly fine racing modes -_- .. and it went downhill from there.. a shame. It was really challenging and fun "back in the days"

There's a Banana Bread recipe in the back of the manual for Arcanum. I made that several times and it's tasty as fuck.

Better yet Jeff, take the bananas cut them up & put them with some vanilla branded cookies in some banana pudding. That or put them in a blender with some chocolate ice cream & milk.
