Best QL ending ever =D

Looks kinda mediocre, though that's not the serious issue I have with it. There's already so many light-hearted zombie comedies (zomedies?)  and stuff that mostly focuses on creativity in murdering the sacks of undead flesh; what I'd want is something that actually centers around the fear and trauma a zombie crisis could cause, which is what the debut CGI trailer had me believe at first. It's also ridiculous that they still play that melodic piano theme from the trailer during the title card too, considering the stark contrast between the trailer and what the actual game is about.  
 
Overall it's such a massive letdown to see what Dead Island's end result is.

looks pretty derivative and boring.   they should've gone the route of the first cinematic trailer.

there's a 10min or so video preview/dev video out there that shows you how this is not a L4D clone. it's more adventure-y with RPG-ish elements in it. plus the zombie shooting.

The story in the game is serious, though. The setting, events, story, and side characters seem to portray the situation as about as grim and dark as you would expect. The developers have even said there are parts of the game that try to convey a similar emotional impact to that of the debut trailer. The more light-hearted elements come from the characters you play as (from what they've shown of them, at least) and the very arcadey UI. I agree that the juxtaposition of those elements creates some kind of weird disconnect that, from what I've seen, does the game no favors. Thankfully, the goofy HUD shit can be turned off, if you so wish. Hopefully the characters' personalities don't get in the way of the rest of game too much.

I still think it the game looks like a lot of fun otherwise, and I'm really looking forward to picking it up. I think we'll just have to wait to see how all that stuff comes together in the final product.

I really can't tell how this game is going to turn out. It would be nice if it was good, the game looks interesting.  Nothing like smashing a zombie in the face with a pipe.

Well, it's nothing like the teaser made it look, but I'll say this for it: It sure is pretty. It may be worth it just to play for the scenery!

Sigh, I was excited someone was going to take a cool new serious approach too zombies. This will be fun, but its not really what I wanted.

Oh well, story is overrated anyway.

I was interested after the trailer, my interest dropped after i saw screenshots, than Call of Shitez The Cartel came out and I realized those were the guys doing this, so fuck off Dead Island I smell a dud, hope I am wrong but after hearing the voice "acting" I think I am pretty safe.

Oh no! Before seeing anything besides the first trailer, I was hoping this was going to be a story focused game of survival... Not more Left 4 Dead...

I went from incredibly excited (back when the first trailer dropped) to incredibly disappointed (when the actual gameplay previews came out) back around to kind of excited again, once I learned to ignore the original trailer and take this for the stupid gore fest it'll likely be

I really enjoyed the way the previous trailers evoked emotions, especially in a zombie setting. However, the game seems to be nothing like that, so I'll pass.

As much as I love zombies, I think they're overplayed at this point. Zombies are the new bald space marines.

For great zombie co-op action I have Left 4 Dead.

For great over-the-top, ridiculous zombie porn I have Dead Rising.

See no good reason to spend 60 on this.

Seems like horrible characters, but I like the visuals on the ironsights.

Do we get an option to play anyone else? By that I mean anyone but these misfits.

My interest in this game has waned by the trailer.

....and I already own Left for Dead.

Guy with the gold chain is clearly the only character worth playing.

This looks so terrible. 

Going to wait for a Quick Look of this one before making the buy or no buy decision.

I like how that zombie tries to jump over a suitcase and instead trips over it at the 25 second mark.

I am playing as the guy with the bling if I get this.

You can see how they are still leeching off the first trailer at times in this video, can you blame them though?
