I don't know if that art style works as well in 3D as it did in 2D, but as long as the gameplay lives up to the original, I'm on board.

Yeah, as someone who thinks that Yoshi's Island is one of the best games on the SNES, I really dislike how this looks.

It seems kinda interesting and ambitious, but the 3D is hurting the aesthetic a lot. It just doesn't mesh well with the art. And that art style seems less defined and striking than the original.

I don´t want to play a game like this on a tiny little screen and I don´t need the 3D. Love everything else.

Why is EVERY Nintendo game on 3DS? I don't commute to work and the tiny screens hurt my neck. I can never find a comfortable way to play, and I've been trying since the original GameBoy. Maybe if they put all of these games that I'd love to play (Pokemon, Animal Crossing, this) on the Wii U I'd buy one.

This actually looks a lot like the N64 game, graphically. That's fine, the graphics were the best part of that game.

The art style is fucking hideous. It's like they forgot the entire fucking point of Yoshi's Island and what it was a response to. Maybe the game will be good (jury's out on that - Topsy Turvy was abhorrent and Island DS was not what it should have been) but I can't get past how much I want to vomit every time I look at it.

Really don't like the art style, it looks grungy and amateur. I much preferred the 2D look.

Well, with Patrick in Chicago, at least the war will be relegated to snarky emails.

Forget Micheal... I want Bruce Buffer on the phone. I was probably one of the few people who were pretty psyched that he showed up in the EA media briefing yesterday.

And Skyping into the Bombcast and competing videos. I thought the war was fun.

Mind you, I think this game looks terrible. It looked slow and rough and I hate that it's 3D now instead of 2D, even if they do a valiant job trying to impose the same crayon filters over everything. I get that 3D is cheaper than 2D, but goddamn it always looks like ass by comparison, especially when you're in a sidescrolling perspective.

I'm gonna say it - this looks terrible.

This is apparently being made by some of the team members who worked on Yoshi's Island DS, and Yoshi's Island DS was hot molten garbage.

Nintendo did one cool thing with Yoshi, and that was the original Yoshi's Island. Everything since then has been varying levels of poop.
