Are people really upset that this is a Metroid 2 remake? I know this isn't gonna be a popular opinion, but this looks more interesting to me than any Metroid 2 fan remake I've seen. I haven't played the original, so I'm totally down for this.

Learning that it's Mercury Steam that is handling develpoment of this, I'm a little cautious. But seeing as they're basing their work on a pre-existing game, it'll probably be fine.

Metroid 2 was cool, so I'm hoping this'll be a worthy remake.
