Every single time they put one of these out I'm all like "FUCK YEAH!"...and then I think about the demos. Damn you Capcom, I'll buy your game just don't expect me to like it.

It looks amazing, but from what i've played of those demo's its gonna be pretty stale, stiff and boring to actually play.

The lighting engine looks good, but the skin textures are too reflective.

You would think Chris and Leon would be pretty jaded about zombie outbreaks by now.

Resident Evil's graphics aren't the problem.

I hope the game is good. I'm not expecting it, but I don't ever root for a game to be bad. I enjoyed 5 for what it was, but this is looking...movie-like.

This actually made me somewhat excited for the next RE-game. I mean that's some Japanese ass Japanese shit right there and the fact that so many familiar faces are going to interact when one another in the final chapter of the game (Tokyo, if I recall) is just downright awesome... Aaaand, like GunstarRed, then I remember the demo they sent out a couple of weeks back. And I remember that it played like fucking garbage! The problem isn't even the new control scheme or gameplay mechanics. I think the new dodge/vault mechanics are great, the melee system is cool as hell and the 3 campaigns played vastly different... It's mostly the camera, which is way to close to your character compared to the fact that orientation and figuring out enemy locations has always been, and still is it seems, absolute key in the action-scenes. It doesn't help that the movement of your character is waaaay to fast and, compared to RE5 which was a gorgeous-looking game, this one seems either way to dark or just bland as hell depending on which scenario you are playing.

It still looks like one of the only interesting games to come out this year, and if nothing else, I adored the CO-OP in RE5 so the fact that they have kept that in is a big plus.

Also stop using El Gigante and chain saw guy Capcom. It was stupid in RE5 and these new skins looks awfull

The problem with sequels is that everyone expects it to be bigger and better than the previous one. Then by the time your on the sixth one, it just becomes this big ridiculous, explosion fest. With an incoherent, and overly complicated plot. Remember when Resident Evil took place in a big spooky mansion, and was actually good (well, except for the voice acting) . Ah yes, those where the days.

@RainbowCarnage: It's weird how as the series has gone on, they seem to be adapting the style of the films rather than the other way around.

Meh, the updated mod and release of Resident Evil 1.5 is much more interesting then this

Horror just doesn't work in a sequel format. The second the mystery is gone, and the unexplained is...explained, what else can you do but just turn it into big bombastic action? You can get away with maybe a Part 2, or MAYBE a Part 3, but after that, the "horror" element is usually gone.

I was bored but then the gameplay bits looked pretty cool. Too much going on though, I like being Leon or Chris I don't need to be Leon AND Chris AND Wesker's Son AND Jill AND Nemesis

There wasn't that much talking , imo . I'm actually really looking forward to playing this next week , not sure why .

Looks like a Resident Evil game. Hopefully they fixed the controls.

I didn't like the demo so I don't know what to think of this game anymore.

@Dan_CiTi: When did you play it last? The last demo (and I'm going to just assume you played it) felt good to me. I'm excited for this game :D! Also, the trailer makes the game look great, and I'm sure, for me at least, it's going to be just that.

And a frame from every single cutscene in the game to spoil EVERYTHING.

The sound work on this trailer was great. Made me think of a real movie trailer. Clearly what they were going for.

Not a fan of RE though.

It depends on what system you're playing on actually when it comes to how dark it can be. I played the PS3 version and liked turning the brightness up all the way because it was still dark, but not too dark, but on the 360 version, when you turn the brightness in the game up all the way, it's extremely bright, which I only liked during Chris' mission. I don't ever like changing the brightness setting in a game, or even on my TV, because I think default (in the game) is usually the intended way to play, but not this time around. I just don't know which system to get this on, but I will once I figure out how the split screen co-op works. Also, while I like the camera view for the most part, I do agree with you and almost everyone else that's complaining about it that it's a little too close, and that may sound contradicting, because it is, and I feel this way because the only time it feels like a hassle is when you're close to a wall, it's just awkward.

This trailer makes me want it very bad. But then I realize I'd much rather just watch an animated movie/series with that tone..... ughh

I want this game to be good but after playing the demo..... i'll just wait for the reviews.

@NTM: I'm playing on a PS3 and I to needed to increase the brightness to see what the hell was going on around me in both the Leon and the Jake campaign. The reason the camera is bumming me so much even though it seems like a somewhat small flaw when I actually do enjoy the gameplay is because it seems to completely contradict the smooth and quite dynamic gameplay of the game (that is once you have familiarized yourself with the controls) and it just becomes a hassle to navigate the stages because of it. I don't know maybe I'm overreacting I just really don't like it.

Also as far as splitscreen is concerned it seems that Capcom has decided to stick with RE5's awfull way of splitting up the screens.

Well i'm back on board. I pre-ordered it 'cause the wife is crazy about the series, but after playing the demo I was more than worried it would be awful. And it still might be awful to play, but man it looks to be just nuts enough for me to enjoy playing through it

just watched the new animated movie "Resident Evil: Damnation" and for what it's worth it was actually an alright movie, better than the other two animated ones.

But during the credits there were clips FROM THIS GAME playing and I was so confused since they..... well they had nothing to do with the movie I had just watched.

''What ever happened to the legendary Chris Redfield!?'' Oh man, the smile that was forming with that line... almost enveloped my entire face. Yup, Resident Evil 6's story continues to looking fucking baller! It's just too bad the gameplay can't quite match the same level of quality...

And I guess Sherry's got some weird B.O.W. related superpowers of her own, because of the events during RE2, which I'm really looking forward to find out about! I think during the demo I heard Jake mention that she has regenerative capabilities or something.

@civid: I know, those are the two sections I really had to have the brightness turned up on as well. The 360 version just over does it though, so you have to put it in the middle of the 20 and 40, or a little under. The PS3 version is better at its highest, as you know. I understand what you mean about the camera, but I guess I just don't have that much a problem with it as some others, or, I know exactly what everyone is saying about it, and there were times where I'd think the same, but in the end, I enjoy it just enough to not care a whole lot about it. The time I thought it was the worst was when I was Chris and I ran under those pillars where you can take cover. I don't really know how to explain it, but that was the worst the camera felt because I couldn't really see what was on my right or left very well, and when there's a guy there with a gun, that's not good.

What I meant about split screen is if it'll let me have two profiles on the same system. My brother and I aren't achievement/trophy... Whores (I hate saying that), but we do like them enough to want to use our own profiles to get them, and the PS3 version just wouldn't allow that on RE5, and the game play was slightly different as well because of having to be on the same profile. I believe it had to do something with the weapons. On the 360 version, we could play it just as anyone would online, and we liked that. That's what I mean. So, if the PS3 version doesn't allow two people to play on their own profile for split screen, and the 360 version again does, I'll probably be getting it on 360.

Just played through the demo. I gave up with guns pretty quickly, in favor of mashing the punch/kick/stomp button over and over. Doesn't work on the hardest enemy though...the camera. ZING!
