Maybe I'm in the minority but I liked the old videos GB produced of these events that were entertaining, informative and had good interviews. Now we get this ironic "ha, look how little we care!" stuff like this. I'd rather they post nothing instead and at least retain the illusion that they do care about the viewer's time.

EDIT: Alright, I forgot they are currently hiring for a video producer right now so hopefully that will change things around but why emphasize your shortcomings right now, anyway? Maybe it's funny to them because they get paid either way but for fans it's sad to see when things you like go downhill, and even worse, people don't' seem to care. GB has always had a very high standard of quality for video production and entertainment and that standard should be maintained as long as the site exists.

I rarely complain about site content, but man, I...don't care for this video. I'm not sure what the point of this kind of "coverage" is. If anything, it just seems like a vehicle for expressing negativity, and while I can appreciate and even occasionally be entertained by a certain level of jaded behavior from the GB staff, when it comes to these types of events, if it's something they're going to actively show their disdain for, why even go?

I'm sure plenty of people would have been more than happy to have an opportunity to see some of this stuff in action, so it comes off pretty poorly when staff seemingly goes out of their way to show their unenthusiasm for it. Especially when it's accompanied by a lack of information on the event itself or clarification as to why they felt that way. I ventured over to staff twitter accounts to see if there was anything about it there. Nope, nothing. So virtually all we're left with is a poorly-shot video of arguably the least impressive thing they could have shown (titled sarcastically, to boot), which doesn't really provide anything of note, and IMO, fails to entertain.

How's Sea of Thieves looking? Is Shadow of War as micro-transaction-y as feared? Was Cuphead there? How about Crackdown? Was Crimson Skies playable on the OG Xbox backwards compatibility? I'd like to hear about these things. The closest we got was a few minutes of "Forza 7 looks good" on the Bombcast. For events like this, please just tell us about the event. I get that this is largely an entertainment site, and I'm not typically a stickler for the "traditional video game coverage" stuff, but uninformative staff boredom framed sardonically is just a bummer all-around.

@notnert427: Your points are understandable, but I think people (in general) on this site sometimes forget that professional content is off-set with the whimsical, and vice-versa.

I can practically guarantee you all of the questions in your post will be answered once the GB crew returns from the Showcase, unpacks their equipment, compiles their notes, finds time to gather everyone together, and sets up all the equipment necessary to produce professional content. This video is more of a "Hey, this is what we're up to right now. This is what these events look like. Here's a hint at some stuff we might cover in future content, but in the meantime, enjoy this behind-the-scenes look at what it's like to be a games journalist. More to come later!"
