i bet there is probably some deus ex stuff out there but this is just a camera tracking your hand movement and mapping it onto the deus ex hand. which is neat but i dont think its really deus ex stuff

These guys make these (and others, like one that looks like an Iron Man suit arm) for kids and folks who have lost their arm. They are fantastic, and actually cheaper than classic prosthetics (as they 3D print them). This also means they're customized to fit even better than classic ones as well.

What I'm saying is, science is awesome.

How is the positional information being read? If it's just a camera, that seems... not even remotely compatible with the basic goals of bionics.

@moonshadow101: my guess is that it's only doing the camera thing because you kind of can't go around cutting off people's arms and strapping bionics to them for a test demo, so you set up something like this so people can get an idea of the range of motion and flexibility of the device without having to trot out someone with it on like a weird parade.
