I really hope "holding your dual-wielding guns sideways" is a tank ability.

I might have to look into this now. It looks interesting to say the least.

Keeping an eye on this MMO. The premise is the only thing catchy, but what else are MMO's anyways.

Not sure what the hype is about, MMOs haven't been good in a long while, here's to hoping :/

Edit: After watching the video I'm sure about it, this will be nothing special.

Such an interesting idea....Just wish it wasn't an MMO. Nothing against MMOs of course. Just a fan of WoD...this being the closest to that.

I was pretty interested in this, right up to the point I saw it had a subscription. When everything is going F2P and we have games like GW2 coming, being forced to pay a flat fee every month to play a game seems a little antiquated, especially if you're like me and don't have the free time to regularly devote to something like this.

The fact its release date is being sandwiched by Diablo 3 and GW2 isn't going to be good for it either.

White Wolf is part of CCP since 2006 and they are making their own WoD MMO.

Funcom... I'm in. Look at Anarchy Online, launched in 99-2000? Still going strong, huge player base, great community, massive exploration. I'm optimistic about this game.

I love the premise, but I haven't seen anything in the actual gameplay that catches my eye. Hope it turns out good, though.

No thanks, I don't want to play anymore MMOs after spending 35 days of my life on WoW. If you want to make a singleplayer game around the chick in the first trailer, I'd totally buy that.

It seems like this idea could go so much further with less overhead in a single player game. I'm thinking about why it would have gone MMO... and I do know some people who only play MMOs. Is this population of people who hop from one MMO to another a more reliable source of revenue than the population for single games, because not enough MMOs come out to compete for their fickle attentions?

@WinterSnowblind: I would have to agree with you, as I am waiting for both D3 and GW2.... My hands will be devoted elsewhere. TSW looks amazing, but with so many games coming out that are F2P I'd much rather play those titles.

Not every MMO is attempting to overtake WoW. You don't have to be the biggest company in the world or make the most money to be a successful business.

This game needs hit animations, that guy is swinging that hammer like he's gonna shatter the world and the mob is like oh look a fly!

Who needs thematic or narrative consistency when you have lots of abilities. I mean, c'mon. There's 500 of them. I'm sure they won't be broken down into broad categories like Guns [Type X - Type N], Magic [Type X - Type N], Melee Weapons [Type X - Type N] and a bunch of +1% passives.

I mean what are the chances of that, right? R..right?

I dunno about you guys, but I love being treated like a retard by having big giant quest objective text in the first few seconds. And don't even get me started on how much I enjoy hamfisted cunnilingus in my MMORPGs!

After Age of Conan I am not looking forward to anything funcom puts out.

Straight up, I have gotten used to the idea that MMOs are all free to play, and you pay for what you want, and until an MMO adopts this idea I'm just not into what they are selling.

If this game is released for $60 in a box, it will FAIL. Guaranteed.

That's crazy talk. If this game succeeds it will be in spite of Funcom. AO's launch was terrible and Conan's, though not as bad(what could be?), was still pretty terrible.

This just feels like a regular ass mmorpg with spin off classes, nothing new here. Even though you can choose your class and 500 skills, I'm sure these are just developement skills for your classes.

There are no new mechanics, same old MMORPG.

Who said anything about launch? I knew AO's launch was horrible but, look at it now. Also, when I hear "500 powers" I'm not thinking about Conan. Conan had zero appeal to anyone, and is terrible to this day. Hence why I failed to even mention it" This game looks way more expansive and creative. I'm not quite sure what you mean by succeeding "in spite of Funcom"

I'd rather build a character out of my own dooky.

The Secret World of Repetitive Boring Animations amiright?

This is the sort of structure I like. I know there are some ridiculously autistic mathematicians out there, who are all about min/maxing and getting the best loot, but I like to dick around and come up with my own characters and stories.... Like in those superhero MMOs

Seemed like the "classes" were just there to give people some type of structure. Nothing suggests you can't put together whatever random powers you want, other than min/maxing.
