Man, Valve is doing everything possible to simultaneously 
 
a) get Steam into as many PCs as possible
b) make me love them even more
 
They are succeeding on both fronts.

My macbook runs it pretty well.  If any conmpany can get gaming more prevalent on Macs it would be valve.

There aren't many companies out there that offer one of their highest rated games for nothing. Valve knows that Steam is a winner, and is willing to do anything to maintain their position.

Hmm, this Portal sounds like an interesting game.  I should probebly check it out......oh wait i already own it! :) 
 
Whatever, this is a great marketing tactic to get people hyped about Portal 2.  Offer the original game for free in hopes that they'll by the sequel.

I just got a new PC and have just installed Steam for the first time in about five years.  Portal was on my short-list of purchases, and now it's a freebie.  That's pretty niffty.

I was just thinking. It's really too bad people that make games, make games. Ha ha. Things like this are unique and I think if people this creative put their time and mind to it, they could make their ideas real. Like modern day scientist I guess you could say. It's synced to my account, which means I have it, but when I try to download the Steam Client itself, it gives me a Corrupted cab file error (1335)...dammit.

Yuk.  That game was really stupid.  Free is to much money for a waste of memory.  I'd rather have Mozilla temp files, clogging up my system. 
 
Valve is just a gimmick now.  Call me when they decide to be game developers again.

He starts off fine, with the common ignorant statement that would make anyone snicker slightly. But quickly he turns to sheer stupidity that no mortal could ever type.  
 
He tries to make up for his failed troll attempt by invoking the emotional fanboys (both Firefox and Valve fanboys--ambitious!), but it's too late. We all know what he is. He is a troll.  
 
Still, I can appreciate the charm, even if the wording is too obvious, and the ending by itself really isn't that bad. Had he left out the bizarre design choice to stupidly state that free is too much, this really could've been a good troll. 
 
Three out of five stars.
