It's a good talk. It's wierd that we've been talking about this game for a decade then suddenly it seems it's over.
I love the idea of going through all the dev cycles in one game. It would be crazy!

it would be cool if Duke Nukem Forever is finished and released sometime in my lifetime but even if it never happens at this point it's hard to care.

I like the tycoon idea, with the hype meter and all.

There needs to be more videos of you guys discussing things. It should be like a round table discussion thing. I know you do a lot of that stuff on the bombcast but having a video of you guys talking informally about one topic could be intriguing.

remember when stalker was running along side duke nukem forever as part of the big joke, i honestly thought the results would have been different (duke nukem to have been released and on to its 3rd title and not stalker... crazy!)

and its unreal ed is on its 4th iteration :P (ut2k4= ut-ed 3, ut3 = ut-ed 4)

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn about Duke Nukem.

I was hoping you guys would discuss this whole debacle. I have always liked Duke Nukem and was looking forward to the next game. Now I'm just pissed at Brussard for taking this long and running his company into the ground! I hope you guys will discuss this topic some more on your next podcast.

I think if they take like six months to develop something like Duke Nukem Forever, they should call it "Duke Nukem: Fast and Hard."

I would like to see someone else make a Duke game where it starts off like a more or less very Duke3D style (silly, over the top) FPS done with modern graphics, then show Duke sitting at a desk playing that game on a PC, but he's all old and worn down and was playing one of his old games. Then he gets up and you're controlling him in 3rd person in an open world. But  he's all washed up and crazy and has hallucinations where cops become pigs and shit, and he's shooting dudes, but he's losing control of reality.

Graphics and Engine specs are NOT what you should be discussing for Duke Nukem... Look at games like Quake 4, which looked like SHIT for a 360 game, period. Or Even worse, Tenchu Z. Graphics are not so important that every game needs to beat out the last. What I saw recently looked more then good enough to get put out, so long as it was a good Duke Nukem game.

I liked this maybe a new series  to compliment endurance run, TANG, and quick look perhaps?

Vinny's game is called "Vinnycruiser 6000AD".

I feel like Duke Nukem might get the Turok treatment.  Some new company will secure the rights to the Duke Nukem character, make a solid 3D shooter with a fun little hook with play time clocking in at about 8 hours, and it'll do alright critically and pretty good financially.
One more thing...
Vinny's Game would be "Persona 4: Vin-dication" where you play as Vinny playing through Persona 4.  Your main skill would be to ask Jeff what to do next (much like the "Ask Madden" option in Madden games).

Silicon Knights should pick up the rights so Denis Diack can take over for brussard and continue to not put out the game for another 10 years.

Sucks that Duke Nukem: Forever won't ever come out. Had the most unfortunately ironic acronym too: DNF.

Anytime Jeff Gerstmann and Duke Nukem Forever are in the same place, you have to mention Jeff's DNF rant from the old days of the The Hotspot. Best rant ever.

There actually was a game about being a developer (or a higher up at a company) and creating things. Segagaga for the Dreamcast. Never made into english but crazyness was had.
