This kind of reminds me back in the day playing GRAW. My favorite times with that series was playing Co-op with my friends and just enjoying trying to takedown the A.I.  I like the idea of being able to build a custom campaign using different maps and settings.

GB got some humour posting this at the same day as the BF3 footage? ;)

I mean graphically yes they look amazing but nothing really appealed to me or even made me go hell yeah im putting money down for that..Maybe its after playing all these modern day shooters that its almost like the WW2 phase of 5 years ago where all the games are mixing together and its really starting to bore me and feel incredibly bland

That seems like a lot of walking and running.

Kind of a lame trailer. Moments of shooting separated by really awkward silent scenes of guys running.

There is something odd about the gun sounds.  Those assault rilfes sound like heavy machine guns.

Colour me unimpressed. I hope it's what SOCOM fans are waiting for, but it looks incredibly generic when compared to 90% of what's on offer these days.  I'm not expecting much from this game and from what I've seen so far it could just as well be "SOCOM HD".

co-op looks like it could be fun, but I don't like the way the character animations look. the players glide around a bit too much.

It looks like they stripped out every bit of stealth and strategy that used to be in SOCOM in favor of just running forward and shooting guys.

Yep.  That's a third person cover based shooter... yep.

I take it the fact that this is a 3rd person shooter with what seems to be decent cover mechanics means nothing? Yeah, those are so bland, overused and mundane nowadays. I'd hate to have to play another decent third person shooter.
 
I guess it's also unfair to point out that, unlike all of CoD's released footage which basically just showed montages of cutscenes and set pieces, this video is absolutely nothing but gameplay. 
 
We should also, I guess, ignore the fact that this is co-op mode, not single or multiplayer, and that they might have just cut it this way to avoid spoiling anything besides gameplay. 
 
You guys can write it off if you want, but this is very little of anything meaningful besides showing shooting guys and ducking behind cover. I didn't even see one lobbed grenade, one smoke grenade, any oleoresin capsicum, knifing, etc. etc.

Game didn't look too great to begin with but this trailer makes it look even worst!

Oh and isn't Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat coming out on the same day? No seriously they need every bit of help they can get to attract attention and the game would have been better off without this trailer. Total disservice to the game.

Out of context this seems a little bland since its 4 minutes of gun reports but Rainbow Six always had enjoyable terrorist hunt modes so hopefully this will be a well done iteration upon that style of gameplay.

I know it's not the finished product, but damn that's a lot of clipping, lag, and weird noise effects.    

always worrying when a game's b-roll isn't just straight ingame footage. its like they know the game wont stand that well on its own so they have to 'cinema' it up in the trailers; and by that i mean, the sprawling camera angles and the lack of hud present when it does go into player view

isnt it the game developers job to make the game look appealing the first time we see ANYTHING about itt whats wrong if we speculate the game might be bad if the trailer makes it so...  well i guess they have a good track record i mean look at confrontatio...oh wait... "

This game looks... adequate. It got to the end and I said to myself, "That's it?" If you had told me this was a downloadable shooter like Breach or Blacklight: Tango Down, I would have believed you. I actually double checked to see if it was a PS3 game. I guess the video is exactly what it says it is. A b-roll, not a trailer, a walkthrough, a game play demonstration, a feature run down, just a b-roll.
