I have a friend that we've talked extensively in the past about Jeff's love for Windjammers. I immediately sent him a link to this video as soon as I saw it. lol good times man good times.

I understand the concern, but Windjammers 2 doesn't feel fundamentally more complex/difficult than the first game because they added a jump button and let you super at any time. Windjammers is an inherently fast paced, twitch kind of game. I didn't even know about the jump button and the hit back thing playing it yesterday, I just jumped into arcade mode and played a couple matches and was like "yeah this is still Windjammers". I'm glad they added something to the game and playing it today the jump seems like a neat wrinkle to the formula, but I think I'll be spending more time with Pokémon Legends Arceus for now. That game has proved to be pretty neat so far.

That being said, I would love a proper sequel with similar production values of Windjammers 2 to Sanrio World Smash Ball. That game is pretty awesome and the closest thing to an "easy" Windjammers sort of game (and predated the original Windjammers!). A lot like Windjammers 2, there isn't a lot you'd need to add and improve upon to make an exciting sequel, especially since the original Sanrio Smash Ball is a pretty obscure game all things considered. A modest but well done sequel released on modern platforms would be exciting. Oh and please let me play as Gudetama…he was not around when that game was made.

Ah yes. My friend and I have done that same song and dance when playing games through the Xbox app on PC. Almost verbatim to the crew's experience.

On the topic of “wasn’t that movie set ‘now’?” stuff and misremembering movies we already past, the big one is Soylent Green was set in 2022. TBH the amount of themes from the movie that mirror the present is kinda a lot to take. Heck the movie poster tag line is “The year is 2022. People are still the same. They’ll do anything to get what they need. And they need SOYLENT GREEN.”

This video was a pretty big waste of time. When more than half the video is just technical difficulties, maybe don't upload it raw or just not upload it at all... just make a post or something that the game is broken when trying to play with friends and that you will cover it when it works.

@skulkers: also since you can fire it up and quick match perfectly fine, its not all that odd to test that, see the servers are working and set up the stream.

Don't know what's up with the PC version, but it's been fine on PS4/PS5

The way you throw a razor Frisbee (or Chakram) is they have a safe place you can hold them to throw. There will be some indication on it where the dull spot is.
