@drewbert Borderlands 1 has an "Elephant Gun". Functionally it's a high-damage unique sniper rifle with no scope on it. Pretty fun to use. Think it might have been in 2 as well, but I'm not sure.

Man, seeing how people react to this generation is going to be interesting. While graphics will be improved and this looks good, the main improvements are going to be in AI numbers, world sizes, distance views and other such things. At the end of the day the pure graphical leap is not going to be large. And I mean that for both consoles, even if the PS4 games look a little better.

Anyway... looking forward to playing this someday, when I get an Xbox One.

I know developers in general love brown and grey but dead rising seem to be taking it a bit to far.

Do they even bother with editing videos anymore? Watching start screens and pause screens and having Vinny in the back controlling it make the whole video feel thrown together. I really miss the structure the videos used to have back in the day.

I was sitting watching that thinking, oh wow, that looks like V8 Supercars at Bathurst, then I saw the Holden sticker on the read windscreen. Pretty pumped.

You know for all the hate Ryse is getting I don't think it looks that bad. If I were to get an Xbone at launch that would likely be the game I would get with it. I like that type of game and it looks like it has a fair amount of depth to it. I also think Forza looks pretty great. If all of the games pan out I think this will be a pretty good launch. On the disappointment front I think Lococycle looks horrible both visually and from a gameplay standpoint, and Crimson Dragon looks okay but doesn't look like anything that Panzer Dragoon didn't do a decade ago.

Headtracking is a great use for kinect, i'm not sure if Forza 3/4 had done it before on the 360 but GT5 did with the PS Eye and it is pretty nice although limited.

Really want Warthunder to have headtracking on the PS4.

@raven10: Yeah, Ryse would definitely be a launch game for me if I was going XBO instead of PS4. I'll probably get it down the road when I have both. It reminds me of Heavenly Sword, a solid action title that shows off the system even if it isn't amazing.

Well, I don't know if this makes me sound like a fanboy of Giantbomb, but I agree with them 100%. I defiantly felt like vinny and brad when it came to dead rising. But to be honest, I want to know if they fixed up the market place and it's not littered with horrible ads

@somejerk: I meant Panzer Dragoon Orta on Xbox as it was the last entry in the series. And I know, that was like 11 years ago but close enough.

Pretty happy that the next-gen consoles are rendering BF4 in 60 FPS. This'll be a fun holiday :)

I know, I looked up some Orta videos a week ago and even graphically I think it outshines Crimson Dragon.

We need Sega to get the PD IP some proper love, it doesn't require much money, not many voice actors, no motion capture tech, just Panzer Dragoon Saga HD and we'd be better off.

Dead Rising 3 is my definitive launch games, but I also think I wanna play Ryse. I'm kinda okay with going around stabbing dudes and leveling up.

That Panzer Dragoonish game is getting downloaded as well for sure.

Personally the only thing im looking forward from Xbone is the new Kinect and Kinect QLs to come..

Videogames really Are the future!

Dead Rising looks pretty good, but I wish they had kept to the aesthetic of Dead Rising 2 rather than the drab look of this one. It'll be interesting to see if they worked out the kinks with co-op (like your partner getting dropped whenever you save). I even think Ryse looks okay as a budget purchase 4-5 months down the line or so when it's slim pickings for new games. I still think I'll be maining PS4 this gen, but this and the new dashboard walkthrough on Youtube gives me more confidence in the platform in general.

Since @drewbert is often flooding and showing off his socks, I think he needs to accumulate a collection of snazzy/funky socks to wear on live recording.

Xbox One seems poised to be a great console. Kinect holds a lot more promise this generation.
