freaking A this game is fun

k because there is a lot to talk about ill list my pros and cons.  ill start with cons, then move on to the pros.

CONS NUMERO UNO:  high spec system is preffered for this one folks.  i can run fallout 3 on decent settings, but this game i got everything turned off, even the physics engine (im sad cuz i like ragdoll effects)
cons 2:  multiplayer campaign is bugged as hell.  me and a friend had to redo the same level 5 times because it kept bugging near the end.   eventually it worked out tho, and we have never had any major problems sense then.
cons 3:  space marines are squishie.  they come in a maximum of 4 per squad (3 soldiers, 1 seargent) and although they are 1:1 mor epowerful then any other troop, they still get massacered by numbers.  if youre thinking of using them in multiplayer, go ahead, but make sure you travel with a large group or youll be picked off real quick.

PROS TIEM YAAAAY:  THIS GAME LOOKS AWSOME!!!  i played it a few times on higher settings, and it looks very cool.  the close proximity you can get with youre camera makes it really exciting to watch melee battles
pros 2:  multiplayer campaign is really fun.  me and my friends have played it about 5 or six times and its damn addicting.
pros 3: multiplayer verses is also really fun.  they take away buildings, and added squad customization.  this game is not for turtles, you gotta be ready to jump in at a moments notice.
pros 4:  single player can get addictive once you fall into stride.  it happened when i aquired the devestator squad, and i couldent stop playing for 5 hours.  just choose a mission, point, and shoot.  the levelling system is wicked cool, with unlockable traights and switchable equipment, youll be taking extra time to make sure youre suited up before you drop down into battle.

this last part cant be said as a pro, its just something i like.  its the animations of the charactors.  you probably know of the extensive cover stystem, even if its a box, if you place the marine near it he wil crouch down and use it for cover.  they reload, which sounds annoying, but for some reason i was quite happy when my guy ducked behind a bunch of barells and fiddled with his boltgun, it added a bit of realism to a game that i hope never EVER becomes a reality lol.

great game overall, hope to see more coming out of this game soon, heard rumors of DLC and the like.  heres hoping they put in more races :)

Real Time Tactics at its Finest 0

The common misnomer of real time "strategy" has persisted throughout the gaming community since the days of the first Command and Conquer.  A strategy dictates which large scale battles to fight and which to avoid while tactics are the choices said battlefield, a division few games place emphasis upon.  Relic has chosen to focus on tactics in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II, and that focus creates a brutal and exciting experience. The piece of gameplay that the two modes share is combat system. ...

Beat your thoughts to the mould of your Will. 0

For too long have we starved for a game that makes war feel like actual bloody war, where a battlefield essentially can be picked assunder and rendered into a dead, flat and cratered field. A game in which there is no cutting back on the ammo, and where the "strategy" aspect is employed in the sense of countering someone's counter of your counter; not who is the best at rushing his enemy as early as possible and winning cheap victories. Enough ranting, review.Dawn of War 2 delivers a solid if a ...
