Hey guys! So I will getting a black Wii soon as was wondering which hardcore games I should pick up, I am already thinking of -
Red Steel 2
Monster Hunter Tri
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
No More Heroes 2
Also, if anyone here in Australia could help me find a copy of Muramasa: The Demon Blade that would be awesome.

The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.
Hardcore Wii games...
" "Haha, I probably should have mentioned I already own a Wii and am trading it in, so I have all the casual games I want (Super Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario, Mario Kart etc.)
" @Meowayne said:Umm...how are those casual? If you think those games are casual, you ain't seen nothing yet!" "Haha, I probably should have mentioned I already own a Wii and am trading it in, so I have all the casual games I want (Super Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario, Mario Kart etc.) "
" Hahahaha that picture just is perfect in this thread. Play No More Heroes 1 before getting 2. Don't play Red Steel 1 before getting 2. Im not all that fond of Red Steel 2 actually, it was ok but nothing more. "Really? Red Steel 2 looks great, what is wrong with it?
On topic, Dead Space: Extraction is one of the best games of 2009, whether you've played the first game or not. And there is no way around Sin & Punishment 2. Is that out in Australia yet?
" @NekuSakuraba said:I knew someone would say that >__< I have nothing against casual games. And I count them as casual because anyone can play them and have fun." @Meowayne said:Umm...how are those casual? If you think those games are casual, you ain't seen nothing yet! " @Rallier said:I found it to be somewhat dull. The story is abysmal which was the kiss of death for me. The combat works but i did not find it all that challenging even on the hardest difficulty mode. It also has no real replay value and is relatively short. It is a neat experience though but you could probably rent it for a weekend and get all out of it what there is to get." Hahahaha that picture just is perfect in this thread. "Also, if anyone here in Australia could help me find a copy of Muramasa: The Demon Blade that would be awesome. "I just had this conversation with owl_of_minerva. I got my copy from JB just before Christmas for $60. I am yet to see a single copy in any store before or since and that sucks. I suggest you ring all your local(ish) JB stores and ask if they have a copy. Other than that, ask EB/GAME if they can order it in, thereby establishing if it is still in print.
A true hardcore game is Fire Emblem. That will chew you up and spit you out. Buy it. That and House of Dead: Overkill for some real fun. Just don't play with your mum around as that motherfucking game will burn her ears :/
" @Willy105 said:Well, with repeated exposure the actual kind of people that Nintendo is aiming, I found that Super Mario Galaxy and Super Paper Mario are way too hard and complicated for them to grasp." @NekuSakuraba said:I knew someone would say that >__< I have nothing against casual games. Mario Kart Wii however works great.
Wow, the GiantBomb community is going greatly. I make a thread asking about Wii games and you guys are turning into a discussion whether games are casual or not.
" @oldschool said:I took 5 hours to play a single chapter, after repeatedly dying, sometimes within minutes of what would have been a victory. Yet, I kept going back, again and again and just rising to the challenge. Very few games (maybe Advance Wars) do that for me. It really gets the mind ticking over.A true hardcore game is Fire Emblem. That will chew you up and spit you out.I can vouch for this... "
" You're actually trading in your old wii for a black one? Wow, just wow... And if i see a copy of Muramasa anywhere, i'll be sure to let you know. That game is good. "For an extra $50 it is worth it. Plus I get a Wii remote and Nunchuk which is worth $70 and get Wii Fit plus (with balance board) and some other game which makes it worth it.
Also, check out Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

That's...pretty decent actually. Too bad i already have Wii Fit and a balance board. Also, if i got a black wii, i'll probably be consumed by the darkness of my room. 360 can't fight off the darkness by itself, it just don't have the power, poor thing would Red Ring.
Check out Dungeon Crawl And ZoneAdrenalan. They're fairly close to each other in Melbourne, and dungeon crawl has an ebay store you could check.
" Also, check out Tatsunoko vs Capcom. "I would, but I am not sure if it has come out here yet or not.

I know what you are on about. It is immensely frustrating sometimes to die because a mage in a distant corner has a meteor book or something like that but it forces you to carefully think through every move. But despite the frustrating moment in the end the sense of accomplishment is what makes it all worth it.
It's not really mature, but Metroid Prime trilogy is great. Most of the M games on the Wii aren't all that awesome. That's my opinion anyway.

And I mean Hardcore as in the content of the game, not the rating.
You better be. People will flip if you say anything bad about the game. (I haven't played it yet)" Little King's Story. I'm serious. "
haha you better get used to it. this happens all the time." Wow, the GiantBomb community is going greatly. I make a thread asking about Wii games and you guys are turning into a discussion whether games are casual or not. "
and how about the COD4 for the wii? yeah i know it's call of duty but COD4's single player is absolutely fantastic and if you have the chance to play it (since it's on the wii now) you can't pass it up.
" Little King's Story. I'm serious. "Yes! I totally forgot about that!
" @Meowayne said:It is out and I do see it around a bit. It is about $70 from memory." Also, check out Tatsunoko vs Capcom. "I would, but I am not sure if it has come out here yet or not. "

" @Meowayne said:I will concur with the hardcore element. It may look cute, and it really is, but the mad cow will kill all of you quick smart if you don't plan properly and from then, it just gets harder. What really is old school about it is the save points. Sometimes you are going to have to go a long way to save or die and start again." Little King's Story. I'm serious. "Yes! I totally forgot about that! "
" "This.
Seriously, hardcore is a state of mind, not a type of game. Any game can be played in a hardcore fashion.
Just look at the guy who COMPLETED Bejeweled, now tell me faggot MW2 clan-taggers are more 'hardcore' than him.
Broken Sword Director's Cut if you have never played the game.
Trauma Team is worth a look - if that's hardcore enough for you.
The Wiiware Bit.Trip series will also kill you. A lot.
Fatal Frame IV: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse if you want more horror.
Anno / Dawn of Discovery is sort of cutesy, but a full-blown strategy / sim game, a brilliant one.
Zangeki no Reginleiv is a Dynasty Warriors type of game that has you take apart huge monsters with MotionPlus-enabled weapon and has 4-player online Co-Op... but you'd have to import/pirate it, unless there is a EU/NA release magically announced at E3.
If this is about justifying your purchase, there are also a lot of upcoming titles. Should we list those as well? :|

" @oldschool said:I knew about the Puzzle League stuff (and of course, the greatest series ever Fire Emblem), but their really early stuff. I will love them forever for the Gameboy Player on the Gamecube, quite possibly my favourite piece of hardware ever." @Kyreo said:Click Me to be enlightened.
