Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 is the second game console produced by Microsoft Corporation and is the successor to the original Xbox.
would you buy more Xbox Originals if they had Achievements?
"Yeah, I would buy some of them. If they had achievements for Burnout 3, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.6,666 posts, man . . .
"
Yeah, probably. I love Burnout 3 and would love a reason to play through it again but I think achievements are the only thing that'd be enough to draw me to it.
Unfortunately, I don't think they can do it. Each game is nothing more than an emulation of the original. They were all intended for the original Xbox, and thus I don't think they'd be able to put Xbox 360-specific code in them.
Microsoft and other well off companies (no Midway) could easily revamp "Xbox Originals" with achievements and charge a good ten to fifteen dollars for it. One of the reasons why I don't bother with the "Xbox Originals" is simply due to the fact that there is no online support for single player games.
Likely and it would be possible simply add achievements that monitor certain preset memory addresses really.
Lower the price to 10$ AND achievements. Sure, I'd eat that stuff up.
At least make the prices more flexible. 15$s for a game that was originally released for 10$ is quite ridiculous.
Yeah. I'd definitely pick up Ninja Gaiden Black since I only have the original one and it'd give me more of a reason to pick that version up.

Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time remembering from where. Regardless, the blog's creator is one smart motherfucker. I'd listen to him all of the time and constantly reaffirm how awesome he is, maybe even name a child after him....
"I would absolutely buy games like Black, Stubbs the Zombie, and a couple of others off the Xbox Originals if they had achievements.Man, achievements in Black would be AWESOME!!!"
I don't know, I think they would be too hard to see if they were in black.
The only thing that would make me want to get Xbox Originals is a slightly cheaper price, more choice and (never going to happen) the ability to let my friend play it. I was going to get Fable from Xbox originals and it would have costed me (ignoring that fact id need to get 2000 points not 1200) about £10 but I got Fable on disk for £5. Being on disk meant not having to wait ages for my terrible download speed, no space taken up on my 20gb (read 13gb) hard drive and when im done/bored I can give it to my friend,
I would probably not buy them. My 20 gb hd only has 1 gig left on it. Also, I would rather own the physical copy of the game.
I still own all of my Xbox games, and I pretty much bought all of the ones I wanted. If achievements were somehow possible and applied to them, then I would go back and play ALL of them again.

Totally. Well... I would if I could, but my 20GB hard drive is down to less than 1GB and I hardly have anything on it. It's all pretty whack.
Maybe I guess although there aren't many I haven't played or would be willing to play over just for points............................ but I would really rather they spend the energy/resources to make some games online capable........for instance Halo CE online capable for the co-op campaign(on 360)......omg w/a friend on legendary...great fantasy I spose.
I haven't bought one Xbox Original because I can get the same thing on disc for cheaper most of the time...if they added achievements, at least that would make them unique (besides the ability to play without a disc). I know my friend Rob would go crazy and buy all of them if they added achievements.
If they could add achievements to xbox originals i see no reason why they couldn't add them to disc emulated games since the same code is there and things are being emulated in nearly the same way. The way achievements are given in quite a few of these emulated classics even XLBA games is that certain memory addresses are monitored when those memory addresses are ticked on then the achievement is unlocked.
so achievements wouldn't be hard to impliment in that way as for that i doubt you'd have to buy them all over again since it would just require an update.
