Anyone else excited? Panzer Dragoon Orta alone put a big ol' dumb smile on my face, but oddly enough, Breakdown was the one that made me lose it. Such an obscure, forgotten game that I admittedly probably won't play all the way through, but I can see myself booting it up for a big for the hell of it.

EDIT: lol Cex are selling Conker's Bad Fur Day for £225... got SSX 3 & Jade Empire for £1.50 though.

@boozak: I had Amazon open up in another tab while the stream was going on. I scooped up a copy of Jade Empire Special Edition the moment it popped up on the list before the prices shot up lol.

I somehow managed to buy Jade Empire day 1 and never play past the first hour. And I consider KOTOR 1 and Mass Effect among the best games ever made. So I’m very excited.

Also never played RDR Undead Nightmare, which sounded incredible.

Will also pick up Conker, Panzer Dragoon and KOTOR 2. Holy hell what a list.

I'm excited for Star Wars Republic Commando and Red Dead Redemption, but Jade Empire is a bit "bleh."

Some good picks there, but still no Otogi. I'd love a way to play Otogi 1 and 2 that doesn't require me getting my OG Xbox out.

Oh, no...it just occurred to me that Full Spectrum Warrior is old-timey Xbox Live and that I probably shouldn’t expect it to work.

OG Xbox games need a tunneling solution on modern Live, stat.

Genuinely interested to see how Mercenaries holds up because I would be super into playing that game again, just need to find my copy of it. On a side note for Mercenaries, if only they could make a new one with the nemesis system from Shadow of Mordor.

Always wanted to play Panzer Dragoon Orta too but never picked it up so looking forward to that. Jade Empire is a funny one because that is the first Bioware game I played as a pure evil character (something I don't usually do) and my girlfriend still hasn't forgiven me for selling some characters into slavery just because I was getting my evil meter up.

Also a little surprised they didn't bite the bullet and make a deal on Shenmue 2, surely they could kick up a little curiosity interest from people on that one although I don't know if people behind 3 would necessarily want that game in people's hands.

GB Breakdown playthrough, when.

This is still such a neat thing and also just about the only thing, that Microsoft has over Sony in my eyes. PS2 classics on PS4 could come close, if they a) weren't priced that high b) could be played with the original game discs and c) always worked really well, instead of being technically half-assed like Psychonauts.

I hope it's the GOTY version of Morrowind for the quality of life improvements.

As easy as that game is to play 'properly' on a PC these days, I've still got a fascination with playing through it again on console. Heck, I even modded it on OG Xbox back in the day.

I'm really happy with this list. I always loved Morrowind and still play the PC version, but it's the Xbox version that I played and loved as a kid.

I'm glad they've added more Star Wars titles, especially Battlefront and Jedi Academy. Hopefully they add Jedi Outcast soon, which is easily in my top 5 games of all time, along with the first KotoR.

I've never played Mercenaries but always wanted to. I'll definitely be getting this.

Same with SS3. I loved SSX Tricky, but never played an of the others.

@the_greg: I think SSX3 would make it into my top 20 games of all time list. I still play the PS2 version occasionally and will need to dig out my Xbox disc now.

I've attempted to play a few of my old games on Xbox OG but it looks absolutely terrible on new TVs. I was very impressed by the sharpness of the other games that were added to Xbox One.

This is so awesome. I still haven't bought a current gen console because most of my gaming now is on PC, but the ability to play SSX 3--one of my all time favorite games--on a modern console may actually push me over the edge. And the S is so cheap...

Man, I hope they add Timesplitters 2 and 3 to this list! Being able to easily play those on an HDTV (and without worrying about losing a save file!) would just be fantastic. Same with Jedi Knight 2.

@dahnosaur: I play on the Xbox One S and a 4K TV. It upscales everything you put through it and looks fantastic. Obviously it isn't true 4K, but it still looks better than 1080p. It really is brilliant to be able to play these classics in such a way.

I'd love to see Morrowind's Xbox One X enhancements.

Hey, they added support for the somewhat unnecessary remake of Conker's Bad Fur Day, despite the original already being in Rare Replay. That's... fun and weird, I guess. I don't know if I'd want to play KotOR 2 in 2018 without some of the content restoration mods, but I still think this backwards compatibility initiative is neat.

That all said, a fair warning to people who are stoked about Jade Empire: parts of it, uh, don't hold up so well.

Eurogamer comparison vid of RDR looks pretty damn good. Gonna have to check that out. Much sharper looking in the vid.

So my understanding is that all these will be available digitally when they re-release? If so, that seems way more ideal than hunting down copies elsewhere.

@dharmabum: They will be available digitally, ranging from about £7/$10 to £10/$15. If you own the disc, you can use that and it will install to the hard drive but still need the disc to play.

I have fond memories of Breakdown.

It isn't great to play, but it felt so unique at the time that I didn't mind that is wasn't well made.

Sweet, the good Battlefront II and a couple of good Bioware games. Pretty sure I've still got my OG Xbox around to play them on but this has some belters for those who don't.

Haven't got XboxOne and this won't compel me to but I do like their commitment to releasing these older (often better imo) games. Looking forward to seeing what they do for next console gen. Would really like to try RDR in 4K.

Ha this actually makes me somewhat curious about buying an X1 because I still have all of my original discs, but I also still have my OG Xbox. I wouldn't mind playing Orta in 4k though. Maybe if Otogi gets support I will one day buy an X1 when it's super cheap. Oh also MechAssault 1 and 2.

Keeping my eye out for a decent S bundle. Would be nice to have a current gen console for streaming services and I have a huge 360 library so...might finally be time.

Found my copy of Mercenaries last night, I never actually finished it the first time so wondering if it will still be good to play or if it will be a curiosity that will have aged too much.

I was fiddling round with my old Xbox the other week and it looks decent at 480p, better than most of the equivalent PS2 titles do these days on original hardware.

I don't know why, but I kinda want to play Morrowind on a console.

Kinda weird but kinda cool - I put my Morrowind GOTY disc in the Xbone and it told me the game wasn't compatible. Put my regular Morrowind disc in and it downloaded the game files as normal, but when I played it, the game was the GOTY edition.

Nice upgrade for anyone owning the vanilla game disc but weird that the actual GOTY disc doesn't work.
