Quake Live is a 'free-to-play' web browser-based FPS from id Software. It is based on the popular game Quake III Arena, and focuses solely on online multiplayer.
Nexuiz (pronounced "Nexus") is a free, open-source, first person shooter that runs on a modified Quake engine. It features a unique health system, very fast gameplay and over 240 community maps.
Quake III: Team Arena is an expansion pack released for Quake III Arena in December 2000 by id Software. It features new modes focused on teamplay, as well as new weapons, items, player models, and maps.
The third installment of the Quake series shakes things up again by being designed solely for multiplayer combat. It focuses on gladiatorial combat in a hellish dimension.
A multiplayer-focused spin-off of the 1998 first-person shooter Unreal, bringing a new assortment of gameplay options, weaponry, arenas, and playable characters.
