1080° Snowboarding, initially released on the N64 in North America on April 1st 1998, is among the best-selling snowboard racing games and well known for its excellent controls as well as outstanding gameplay. Due to its success on the N64 it was later re-released for the Wii virtual console in early 2008.

Revolutionary for it's time, but does not hold up 0
This game is very much in the same vein of Wave Race 64 by taking advantage of the n64 hardware upgrade to expand the racing genre in ways that have not been seen before. 1080 Snowboarding broke new ground by modelling snow in a more realistic way than was possible before. As a game however, it does not age well. Much like other racing games of the n64 era, it relies too heavily on mastering a deliberately difficult control and physics system in order to succeed.
