    Overview

    A New Beginning is a point & click adventure game developed and published by Daedalic Entertainment. It was initially released for PC and Mac in Germany in 2010, followed by a wider European release in 2011 and a worldwide release in 2012. It was later ported to iOS, a version which was released (worldwide) in 2015. (A Wii version was intended for release but cancelled.) The game follows the story of an impending global cataclysm due to extreme climate change.

    Story

    Bio-engineer Bent Svensson has retired from researching alternative renewable energy sources for the planet and moves to a remote forests of Norway. His retirement is ended abruptly by a young woman named Fay who is claiming to be from the future. She explains that she has come back to prevent the upcoming catastrophe and that Bent's research is the only hope for the planet. At the same time, a greedy energy tycoon is close to getting his hands on that exact research, and wishes to use it for his own money making schemes. Bent and Fay must veer the planet off its predicted path in order to save everything.
