A person incapable of feeling emotion and empathy, though they may fake displaying such in order to fit into society. Their inability to empathize make them potentially dangerous as they lack the ability to feel guilt or remorse for cruel acts committed against others.
A superweapon is a structure or character with amazing powers and amazing costs. This weapon can turn the battle to its owner's side single-handedly, but is usually the most expensive and time consuming to construct.
A superhero is a fictional character of unprecedented physical prowess dedicated to acts of derring-do in the public interest.
Games featuring characters which posses superhuman abilities and powers.
A transformation is a different stage or form for something. Usually an upgrade.
Some bosses transition through two or more forms during the course of a fight. Each form has its own abilities and health separate from those of other forms.
Vehicular combat combines driving and combat to form a unique fast paced action game. Many games are purely vehicular combat based (e.g. Twisted Metal or Vigilante 8) or can contain have sections for such combat (e.g. Halo or Mass Effect).
Verticality relates to the scale of spaces in a game and the player's ability and freedom to traverse them. It implies that a player has freedom of movement that extends to vertical planes through abilities, vehicles, or level design.
Just as heroes sometimes fall from grace, occasionally someone who works for the forces of evil will turn their life around and become a good guy.
Popularized by the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time trilogy, wall running is a concept employed in platforming games. The move is often executed when needing to traverse a gap with only a wall in place. Also includes running straight up walls.
While piledrivers, clotheslines, and suplexes might seem at home in wrestling games, many professional wrestling moves have found their way into other video game genres. Brawlers and fighting games are commonly home to these moves, with Mike Haggar's piledriver being a classic example.
