    Unacceptable from Rebellion

This game's control scheme is so totally busted that I literally took an hour out of my day attempting to fix it for the multiplayer demo. Even after that, the game was stupidly bad. With all battles as Alien or Predator boiling down to melee, I felt that this game missed out on a lot of the fun of those species. Admittedly, Aliens are completely melee, but the control scheme on AvP1 and 2 was so much better. Hold Ctrl to crouch and hold Shift to crouch and climb. And you could climb while strafing, you could climb backwards, you could even climb in circles, none of which is in this series "transition" (read stupid) system. Also, Alien has no pounce. As an AvP2 veteran, Alien without pounce is like Predator without a plasmacaster.  Predator's control scheme on computer is simply ridiculous. Without having any of the tools mapped to the numbers and having everything have to have a specific letter, the game just seemed wrong. And the predator himself felt really clunky and slow. While that was sort of true for AvP1 and 2, there was an awesome sense of power there too, something which was lacking here. In this game he felt like a lumbering sniper observer who rarely gets to use his gun and has a fetish for claws. Oh, and gets really turned on by skulls and spinal cords. Which is awesome.
The single-player story is mediocre and lacks any of the possible panache that could easily be summoned in a universe as rich and diverse as that of the AvP Universe. The Marine is surprisingly fun to play and even a little overpowered for the multiplayer. I liked its SP experience best probably because it actually felt like a game, until it ended like 2 hours in. I used to hate AvP human single player because it was always about walking around corners and waiting for Aliens to jump out at you. And while I still got that in this game, at least it felt like I was playing a shooter at all. The Predator campaign was OK but not really any fun, when you are so ridiculously powerful that you don't need to worry about whole squads of gun-toting jar-heads. Alien campaign might have been fun if it weren't for the aforementioned control issues. Look Rebellion, if I have trouble getting into vents as an Alien, it's high time you rething your GD control scheme for that species and quick.
I am not even mentioning the myriad bugs that are in this game, but they are almost overwhelming. While they are probably better on the PC than they are on the console, I still found them absolutely ridiculous and wonder if Rebellion even has a game tester team. And if they do, what single nine year-old did they hire and could they please fire him? All in all, this game is garbage. You would be better served to go out and buy AvP2 with Primal Hunt, which might cost you $10, and the game will be easier and more fun to play.

      Good Remake 0

When they announced that AVP was going to be remade, I was very happy.  Now its out and how does it fair with the current gaming market?  This is a great game that would be suited for new/old fans of the franchises.  It is not for any gamers looking for a "New" shooting experience.  The graphics are well done but, not outstanding.  The Predators/Aliens received a lot of treatment from the artist.  The marines are bland since they all look the same.  The lighting is remote because of the subject ...

      AVP 0

When my buddy Troy sent me a text message asking if anyone had got the new AVP.  I immediately called him.  No text back, with “um… well.”, no non-response as to pretend like I didn’t have time to talk games with him.  Nope.  I called that mother fucker right back after his text.  I called, and he was at work.  Work, come on, but that’s Troy.  I  screamed “Don’t do it man!  It’s not not worth it.”  And what do you think the douche’s answer back to me was?  How about a “Thanks man, I almost made ...
