Based on this, the movie doesn't seem offensively terrible. I mean it's real bad, but so are at least half the major movies coming out these days. I'm sure that the bright colours and lukewarm comedy will draw the Minions crowds back into theaters.

@westernwizard: The Angry Birds property isn't that old, I really doubt it was done for that reason. It's probably just yet another avenue where they're using Angry Birds to see if it will be profitable.

Nothing with Gad, McBride and Dinklage together is likely to be above forgettable.

1. Kids aren't dumb and 2. Most parents don't hate Angry Birds like core gamers do.

...and 3. There's only so many kids movies out each year so they almost all do well.

This is the exact kind of 'turn up at the cinema without choosing what to see in advance' film that millions of parents will take their children to see.

I'll watch it to see stuff fall apart all physics-y.

Meh, seems like a perfectly fine family movie. My only complaint, if you even wanna call it that, is that none of the voice talent wows me in any way. The cast is full of a bunch of people I like, but none of them make me wanna jump out and go see this.

I will watching this at about 10 past never, but it's pretty inoffensive. Mediocre looking, but inoffensive.

Also Bomb really sounds like as though he should have been voiced by Patrick Warburton.

I kinda like the premise although I fully expect a climax where they're required to hulk up in the face of an evil threat.

That trailer is really confusing. Not sure what the pigs role is in any of this. And they are basically just the characters that seem to deal with anger management or something.

You know what, no. No, I won't watch that, no I would'nt let my kids watch it. No, just no.

There are some things that just should not be. And movies purely for the sake of greed are absolutely one of them.

"Hey! Kids are stupid! This properity makes money! Lets make a movie! That'll get em!"

I can think of no other reasonable explanation, aside from every single person who green-lit and pushed for this to be made being mentally ill.

At least, at least, with other bad movies people are trying to do something, say something, try something. Yes its all about making money, someone, somewhere, wants something to be enjoyable. This..this is just pure unregulated capitalism at its worst IMO. A awful example of "Lets see how much we can legally con people out of their money."

People still care about Angry Birds?! weird. Is selling your soul at a crossroads really a thing? Thats literally the only thing that I can think of that makes sense, someone at Rovio must have done that.

Minions are funny, Frozen is full of charm and had that one song. Angry birds was a really fun clone of a million newgrounds games. I'm not mad, I just find it all a bit baffling.

This reminds me of back in the 90's when Disney (and others) kept trying to do shows and movies with characters that were totally RAD and EXTREME.
Not the tone of the movie per say, but just the complete lack of soul or effort or love, just this "HEY, this what the kidz love these days? Am I correct in this statement children? Yeah, this is totally the thing you all like."

Like the ONLY reason this movie exists is because of money. No one thought they had a good script, just, "Hey, lets trick people into seeing our cinematic garbage" Yuck, just yuck.
